Having gone through hurricane Michael and losing my house (which even today is still not completely restored) to covid, these last two years have been the worst in my 49 years of life. I came across this video last night and just wept as Mr. Harris preached this song through music. I have been trying to hold life together by my own strength to the point I was ready to walk away from God and the Church. It has been a dark time for me and my family. But it’s not my strength but God’s. And I thank God he had me cross paths with Larnelle through this video. I may never meet Larnelle, but if he happens to see this comment....thank you sir for this song of hope.

Yes, it can be hard sometimes for a long time, but it does get better. Jesus loves you very much and in the moments of darkness He is still there...don't let go because He won't.

Yes, fot 15 years I had an out of control son, which culminated in his death by murder. All I could do was thank God for the time I had. Understanding over the years God is in control at all times. But I rest knowing I will see my son again as he did get saved before he passed. I'll see him again 😊😊😊❤❤✝️🙏

That is how an accomplished, classically trained, master vocalist does it. I loved how intently and closely all those gospel singers were watching Larnelle at work in awe. He is on a different level vocally than anyone else there.

Many awards, albums. ......it's just that he is under- listened to by non Christians .they never have heard of him. Only God loving people who listen to gospel music have heard of him. True, I've grown up on his music when he attended The Carpenter's Home Church in Lakeland, Florida. The church building has since been demolished and Larnelle still ministers.

This song sneaks up on you. First verse and chorus lead people to thank God for His miraculous provision that pulls them through against all odds. But 2nd verse and repeat of chorus underscore not just His comfort during suffering, but more so our utmost need for utter surrender to Him even when there are no answers or solutions coming forth in the midst of your long dark stormy night. This is a song man of God Job could have sung before, during, and after his trial, with 3 different flavors for each of the parts of his experience. A song that really runs through you with a piercing sword and leaves you to bleed, yet be comforted at the same time. Mr. Larnelle Harris, you are amazing as always. Few could communicate this song with the holy anointing, piercing expressiveness, and flawless ability as you do. Never stop singing Mr. Harris!!!!!

I have taken voice 1 and voice level 2 at the college level after singing in church choir for about 4 years; I traveled Europe with my Christian college Nazarene singing group; I have very rarely heard the voice control (getting very soft and very powerful -forte) like Larnelle does;. Sorry to put this so bluntly, but I don't enjoy loud singing; I enjoy voice control and clearly this is a classroom example of this ministry of the LORD. This music has the anointing; the anointing breaks the power of the bondages of sin; if you will apply it over time.

In the early 70s larnelle stayed with my family in bellaire Tx after his concert at westbury baptist church it was such a special time he performed his concert and we took him out to eat and brought him home and he played our piano and sang for hours to early in the morning was very special to me I was 12 yrs old have pictures with him in our home .great memories he also gave me a signed copy of his 45 O happy days 😊

My husband of 21 years had an on and off ongoing affair. A month ago, God showed him that he would loose me and our 5 beautiful children if it didn't stop. It was the hardest wake up call of his life. Today, I have seen my husband my seek God through prayer and reading his Bible like never before. He's allowed God to change his heart. In the past, he tired to do everything on his own. It almost destroyed our family, our marriage, and me, BUT GOD!

One of the few people I think deserves the title of a Magnificent Man of God. They say that verbal communication is less than 10% of our overall communication. Larnell has that gift of being able to communicate non-verbally. His non-verbal skill set strikes me as one who is accustomed to a Broadway stage. Add to that the tremendous ministering lyrics of this song and Larnell's incredibly versatile voice and this is the result. Bravo Larnell.

Just a word of encouragement: Remember that Jesus loves you and He's coming soon. If you have not made a decision to follow Him, don't wait because tomorrow is promised to no one. Satan wants us to believe we have all the time in the world, when we actually don't. Even he knows his time is short (Revelation 12:12) Lastly, the National Sunday Law is about to be enforced upon us. It involves the Mark of the Beast. The Beast is a religious & political system, which includes the Pope and his followers. Their sign of authority or seal is Sunday worship because they claim to have authority over the Bible and they admit that Sunday worship is their doing. (Revelation 13:6). They will enforce worship on all. (See Revelation 13). IT is their plan to force all to worship on the 1st day of the week (Sunday) and have that as the ONLY DAY of worship. They want everyone to forsake God's law which includes keeping the Sabbath, and accept man's tradition. When it is enforced, and people accept Sunday worship INSTEAD of accepting the Seventh Day Sabbath (Saturday) as the Lord's Day and only true day of worship, they will get the mark of the Beast. The system promotes false worship. So, it's our duty to keep God's commandments, including the 4th which talks about the Sabbath because in the end, we have to chose 1 side. So, lastly, I'm inviting you to the Seventh Day Adventist church that is NEAREST to you and make it your #1 priority be ready by God's grace to face the time that is just before us.

I agree Razvan. Christians today instead of listening to a still quiet voice the majority of people seem to prefer a loud noise. I am not against loud volume inmost cases but the volume in churches, concerts etc is not always conducive to hearing his voice.

I’m 26 now but I still remember Larnell on tbn back when I was a preteen and being amazed by that voice. Larnell if you read this, thank you soo much, I hope you know how much God has used you, God bless you Larnell.

Beautiful, he’s an Original (with a capital “O”), what a song. As years have moved on, If only our North American church on Sundays was more like this. Not the music, the interchange of people, respect, granting an ear and podium to the FULL body of Christ. Allowing people who are very different than us, touch us in the deepest part of our souls, by listening, letting go, listening.

Such a rich, simple message in the phrase "But God". Did he write this song? God uses Larnelle to drive the point home through the gift of the His Holy Spirit. and just seeing the reactions on the faces of the people tells me a whole lot. Thank you, Lord, for your kindness to us.

I lucked up on this song two years ago when I was in the midst of a long and painful recovery from back surgery. When he go to the part where " the pain just comes in waves" that sounded like me. How could he have known? Of course, he didn't BUT GOD did. This is my favorite song during hard times. I think we all are enduring some sort of pain right now, whether physical, emotional financial or spiritual. You do what you can do, but ultimately God is and He has, the answer. This song has been a blessing to me, and I have shared it with others who need encouragement. God bless us all.

Woke up in the morning and started listening again. Don't know who wrote this song but it was the right song for Larnell and Larnell took it and hit it out of the park. This is a hit!

I remember choreographing a song by Larnell in the early nineties. Had no idea what he looked like. Just heard his voice. Now with KZfaq, I'm just beginning to watch his live performances and Wow!!.. He just has that gift and ability to reel you in and take you on the journey of the songwriter where you can't help but feel every emotion of the Heroes of faith..every hope, every fear, every desperation and every struggle to the point of surrender and then leave you in awe when he reveals..But GOD!! It's breathtaking and deeply humbling..but what a hope! Thank you God! God bless you and your ministry, sir!!
