@@michaelmcmillan1425 Jordan's bulls consisted of alcoholics and drug addicts during that time. Let's not forget that Jordan faced a team with 4 to 5 hall of fame players in Boston, Detroit and Lakers and they still couldn't stop his individual performance. Once he got a good supporting cast, he never lost again. I could tell you are young when you bring up Lebron. LeBron is nowhere near what Jordan was. Jordan has accomplished alot more in less time than LeBron. You are the type that considers lebron great because he's breaking certain records but do not take into consideration that the records he's breaking is taking him longer than the one that set those records. For example, lebron just passed Magic in assists but took him 7 more years to do it. Now you are probably going to mention that he passed Jordan in 1,300 less shots but would not mention that Lebron also attempted 3,202 more 3's and 868 more free-throws. You also mentioned about competition. Do you know that they did a study using metrics and winning percentage on the top 10 toughest path through the playoffs and finals to win a championship. Jordan's Bulls own 3 of those spots while LeBron only owns one. LeBron's came in third while one of Jordan's came in second. So please, stop reading into this nonsense that LeBron had a much tougher path than Jordan. One more fun fact for you. Jordan played against 39 of the top 75 players to play in the NBA. LeBron played against 17 of the top 75. Jordan played with 1 and 2 all-stars to win 6 championships while beating 29 of the top 75. Lebron needed 18 all-stars on his team to go 4-6 in the finals while playing against 8 of the top 75.

The younger generation talk about that game, that series, as though it's a black mark on Jordan's resume. Bird had a case to be Goat at that point in his career and his team was stacked. What's more amazing is if you watch that game in full rather than highlights, you'll see Jordan resting on offence and focusing on defence for the first half, trying to get his teammates involved. He was resting on offence for a half and scores 63.

@@johnnewsham5193 whenever LBJ gets swept against anyone it's a black mark even though he's averaging 2K numbers so we have to be consistent. Secondly, Larry didn't have goat status because it was him AND Magic. If anyone had true goat status at the time it was Russell or KAJ. Also, goat is subjective and has nothing to do with actual ability, peak, stats or accolades

There has never been a better player or one more important to his team, his city, or the league than Jordan. He changed the game and took Dr. J's game to new heights. He played 15 years and scored almost 32,000 points ,retired twice that makes 13 years ,so imagine how many points he would've score if he played 20 seasons like LeBron James ,at 40 he avg 21.2 points per game with the wizards ,that's insane so he was supposed to shatter every record ,but he really wanted to surpass magic and bird ,that were from his era and retired in peace knowing he eclipsed the 2 best players of his era ,but against Kobe and LeBron Michael would've go to a new level ,when u challenge Michael he bring a level you've never seen before ,and people forget that ,he played passive until u challenge him ,that's why people consider him the greatest to ever do it

Bostons home record 1986=40-1 Larry Bird, was MVP. I remember actually watchign that game. I didn't have cable back then. The game was on blackout in detroit. But a friend of a friend, was watching the game. OMG. We had missed the entire season, as Mike was out. MIND YOU, I was in Highschool at the time. JORDAN Popped 63, over the Boston Celtics.. In which Boston had the best record in the League. And also BOSTON went on to be the World Champions, that YEAR. So the GOAT put up 63 against the World Champs. Same year, Larry Bird was MVP. Things, people forget when Jordan went off for 63.. WHO was he playing, and What team. And winning in BOSTON.. Which was extremely difficult that year.

Everyone was in awe of his game, skill, athleticism, and non-stop attack on both ends, but his whole game was so fundamentally sound & airtight in those fundamental...crazy! Nothing works without footwork, handles, vision, IQ, body control, and DAWG. This dude literally put it all together on every level, and had the physics gifts to execute at will and still step up when needed...4 quarters per game for 82 games per season & he never cheated the fans by cheating the game. Everyone talks about his poor 3pt shot, but his career average on far fewer attempts is league average today!😂🤣😂🤣😂 I think Vernon Maxwell said it best, "Mike ain't stopping on either end. You know He's attacking you and your team all night long."🤣🤣🤣🤣

Today's fans will say it took Jordan overtime to hit 63, while superstars today could hit 60 easily. What they don't realized, the Celtics in the 80s were one of the greatest team ever. They might not have been as athletic as today's stars but they play fundamentally sound basketball and Bird is one of the most clutch player ever. MJ took 0 3 pointers in this game. Meanwhile today's stars need to hit a lot of 3s to even get 60. MJ wasn't even expected to be back after breaking his foot at the beginning of the season. Despite how easy today's players score 60 in a game, This record still stand. This was 2nd year Mike as well without a legit star next to him. People use this series against him as if he's not great, him getting swept by this Boston team back to back is equivalent to Lebron on the Cavs getting swept by the Warriors and Spurs (I believe he's one of the only great players to get swept by a great team). Let's face it the eastern conference in the 80s-90s was tougher, while in the 00 the east was weak.

Bro MJ played the 2 guard thats his job lol. His position is to play good defense and score first. Wilt had to be the best defender, rebounder, passer, etc for his teams and still be the best scorer on the team. Teams werent afraid of 1 man cause he cant beat a whole team. What ppl were afraid of was the fact that the Bulls could play defense and get stops with or without MJ on the floor, he was an over the top piece to a team that was already contending. You want Mike to try and score everything when your team is better than his, thats what Bird Celtics gameplan was. They swept him even 63 pts. Its when his team is getting stops that he is scary. 96 Bulls would honestly get fucked up by 86 Celtics ngl. And a man named Len Bias would have gotten Bird 6 rings before 1990 if he didnt OD
@halfshot253
@halfshot253 Жыл бұрын
@@lotuslife3239 bruh without them I dont think we would be talking about the Bulls or Celtics or Lakers. They were the 'factor' Wilt dominated an era of midgets and still losses to a small role player named Bill. So nobody really feared him. He feared the Celtics. Bird swept MJ and his Bulls, true. Did you bother checking his individual numbers and his team mates? He had NO HELP. Check the box score too. Its not as if they were washed by 30 or something. There were close games and the bottom feeder Bulls wiped them with 20 pts in the regular season. Imagine that Larry and his star studded team got washed by a bottom feeder team

@@halfshot253 the fact u said Bill Russell was a role player means im not even gonna argue with ur logic lmao. He was like Anthony Davis with durability. Could pass like Jokic, ran the floor better than any 6'10 player today. Bill Russell jumped over a guy in a clip i saw literally. Wilt has 2 rings because his coaches and teams sucked and the Celtics had all the money to dominate. When Wilt got good coaching he broke records. 33-0 run, blowing out contending teams like Warriors. Bird carried his team in ways Mike couldnt. And Mike did things nobody else could do. Still isnt a doubt in my mind if you got another good Forward next to those Celtics, Bird would play the 2 guard and dominate, Jordan wouldnt be able to guard Bird never was able to actually Scottie cant do it Mike forsure cant. And btw just watching highlights it was clear the league Wilt played in knew small ball was the way to win and Wilt was an outcast like Shaq. But there were other guys even taller than Wilt, 7'3 Swede Halbrook being 1. But 6'10-6'11 mobile centers have always been the way to win in a team setting, as athletic as Wilt was he let his team control the ball and he wanted to catch and score in the post like Shaq, led to his teams losing a lot cause his ball handler sucked and nobody else could score. Bill Russell grabs the rebound and runs the floor as a 6'10 point forward. Wilt never got shut down by Russell, but he was more focused on stats a lot cause he didnt have a coach like Red Aurbauch to tell him how to win, and didnt have the personnel either. He wins easy with Cousy, KC Jones, Havliceck,

@@halfshot253 whatever bruh watch some film. Average height in 1960 was the same as today 6'6 difference is the players had actual jobs outside of the league because they werent treated like celebrities painting their nails and wearing stupid outfits. Bros couldnt dribble like today because of the rules, but Pistol Pete bout 10 years later putting today's ball handlers to shame at 6'5. Pistol Pete 68 pts with no 3pt line and was hitting shots from that deep. Players back then way less athletic but there were still lots of high flying players, old school rims cant take the kind of force later ones did. They banned dunking for a time when Wilt was playing.
