This was a phenomenal game!! Both Drexler and Bird were truly great. Bird's passing is so sweet = Bird had the court vision of a point guard! And Bird is so clutch = down by 3 and Bird drains a 3 with Drexler all over him!!! I believe Bird was wearing a back brace during this game. Thanks for sharing this video

Of all the wild things in that game, the wierdest was Ainge guarding Bird. It perfectly demonstrates how time really does change things.

This was a wild game. A few things that can be seen in the full broadcast, which I saw live: Bird was no longer able to warm up before games. He had to start the game at room temperature and start warming up in the game with the running up and down the court. And because he starts cold, his first few shots of this game are all awful bricks and airballs before he starts finding the stroke. He couldn’t sit on the bench when he was subbed out. He had to lie down on the hardwood in front of the bench with his elbows resting on a towel. The Blazers were up by 5 with 16 seconds left in regulation, and then Bird scored 7 points in the final 16 seconds to tie the game while the Blazers went 2 of 4 from the line during that span. 🙂👍

and to think this was his last season and so many injuries but still dominated the game. that is a great player. his stats were good but he didn't care about that. he only wanted to win. like some of his passes he could have held on and shot himself but he was never selfish with the ball. he made his teammates better. that is the mark of a great player. team has no i in it. he was the best team player period.

Bird had a sore thigh and was wearing a back brace. He's moving like an old man, but still dominated the pace and flow. That three pointer has to be the most ridiculous and clutch shot Ive ever seen. Great reaction.

Poor Bird had a heck of a time running ...mainly because he couldn't feel his feet! Absolutely amazing with that man could accomplish through sheer determination!

If only Larry Bird didn't hurt his back during 1985 off-season, we might've seen him play up to 1997 season. I say this if we keep the deaths of both Len Bias and Reggie Lewis stay as it is. Take note that 1992 Portland Trail Blazers team can outscore today's team if you put them in this time. They score over 120 points mostly on two pointers via real fast breaks.

They were the real deal! Fast breaks! Clyde was trying to be the best SG in NBA but #23 wasn’t letting it go easy! Their team was really good! Yeah I wish Bird had longevity, he been getting more accolades

@@ItzJustJP you can see the fundamentals of fast break plays that the Trail Blazers did. Nowadays you see everyone staying behind the three point arc on fast breaks. Not a good play to me even if they made those shots.
