Seth blowing Larry's mind by explaining how he's "the stretcher" was so perfect that it's hard to believe that wasn't scripted. Larry's reaction (confusion > understanding > humility) was so genuine, though, it had to be real.

Before Seth as a talk show host , there is Seth the master comedy writer ...and once paired with Larry David, you get to see a clash of two greats . Art and creativity in pure form .

I LOVE that this happened in this interview with these 2 stories/situations back to back that ended up relating to each other in that way. Hilarious! And Larry really didn't see it before this, lol. @@empireoflightz well, if you're up on your Seinfeld knowledge, the "regards" deal was in fact in an episode where George phoned and asked out a woman from his childhood because someone told him she said "hello" when she only said " give him my regards" so it likely was prepared too but it's definitely how Larry truly feels about it which is the funniest part

These two guys talk together like water flowing over rocks, and it's a joy to listen to them intelligently debating over a bunch of pointless, stupid sh**. I think Seth naturally gets Larry more than a lot of other interviewers do. Like you'd swear it was pre-scripted but Seth is just a guy who isn't taken aback by anything, and Larry never stops providing disdain for dumb sh**.

This was fun to watch. I feel like they did this interview similar to how they do episodes of Curb. Like how Curb isnt really "scripted", they just give kind of an idea of a certain situation or topic and the actors improv the lines

He’s quick on his feet, like when a joke bombs or something goes wrong he gets a bigger laugh out of that, add in when he’s talking to another comedian he can bounce off and it’s usually very good. Seth is my go to late night guy for that, for my money he’s the funniest. By some margin.

@@LapsedPacifist79 Me too, Dave Letterman used to make bad material hilarious by saying how bad it sucked. Seth also does this super well, even covering his face after telling a mega-bomb joke. I've watched some old Johnny Carson clips where he would also do this, and Ed McMahon also mocking how bad his jokes were. Seth is more himself and less constrained since Covid, and I feel exactly the same way. These two were great together. I haven't seen other hosts play off Larry the same way or really get him like this.
