It seems strange that a viewer (Mark Sheppard) would be watching a documentary about Larry Bird and turn around a rip him numerous times. No one ever claimed Bird was the best defensive player ever or anything like that. He must of been turned down for a Larry Bird autograph or something.

@Michael Fisher The Bulls won two championships while Larry was playing, in 1991 and 1992. They never beat the Boston Celtics and Larry Bird in the playoffs however, Mark Sheppard has his facts wrong.

Great player! Best ever?...not even close. You can't be the GOAT when you can't defend one on one..when they hide you defensively because you can't the other elite small forwards..Wilkins..Bernard King..Pippen..Dr. J....etc Doesn't rank in the top 100 three point shooting ( percentage wise)... So let's stop with the over hype.

None of those that you mentioned couldn't stopped him either...So, if they cant' stop him they are not better than him...BTW. He beat all of them in playoffs....

They didn't start hiding him until his back gave out. Why don't you ask the players that he played against who the best player was, that is, who they feared playing against the most. Time and again the elite players of his era stated that it was Larry Bird who they were most worried about. Your nothing but a basketball novice and clown.

The man was an incredible competitor, great shooter and owned the court. What is your problem? He and Magic saved the NBA. Did you watch this vid or are you just trolling?
