20 күн бұрынEven amid a political earthquake in UK after the 2024 general elections, Larry the Downing Street cat remains unfazed. UK’s ‘Chief mouser’ is now set to share the office with UK’s 6th Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Larry has been a resident in the seat of British power since 2011. The 10 Downing Street's 'Chief Mouser' was recruited by former British PM David Cameron in 2011 to get rid of mice. Larry then went on to serve under PMs Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak. On July 5, his latest housemate, Labour Party leader Keir Starmer, took up office having won a landslide electoral victory. This time Larry might soon have some company as Starmer already has a cat named JoJo. JoJo too is expected to join Starmer when he takes up residence in the street. As the UK witnesses a shift in power from Conservatives to Labour Party, the ‘real ruler’ at 10 Downing Street, Larry, the cat is here to remain.

Larry isn't going nowhere, Jojo is going to have to compete. Cats are the best, if our nation was run by cats, we humans would be better off. This is from owners of one large cat. He is greedy, loves cuddles, sheds hair everywhere all year round. We got Charlie as a rescue in 2012. Alternative names were Hitchcock, Five Bellies, Fatto, Fatboy slim. 2014, Charlie is still with us

And yet no one went to his aid when he fought the fox recently. I have seen video of people coming and going paying no attention to him and shutting the door in his face when he clearly wanted to go inside. He deserves to retire in peace and to be treated with respect.

The Doorman should see Larry on the camera, but if he's distracted/ not paying attention then an Officer will knock on his behalf. Larry is the only Civil Servant who can come and go as he pleases, and expect to be let in/ out promptly.

They also both went wholeheartedly along with Covid restrictions on movement and choice over our own bodies. They both support Israel and Ukraine more than our own citizens. Having a few dog-whistle differences is only to drive people apart. It is you who either does not understand or chooses not to. It seems the same is mostly true in the UK as well. Watching the mainstream media must be polluting your mind.
