I always loved the original Star Trek series and the original stars in the Star Trek movies. I liked seeing William Shatner in the movies such as Judgment at Nuremberg and the Twilight shows he did. Then, I enjoyed seeing him on Columbo shows. I never followed his career much after Star Trek until recent years. I remember seeing some footage about his wife at the time who apparently drowned in the pool at his home. What seemed very odd was the 911 call. The operator asked if he was attempting CPR, and he replied that she was still lying on the bottom of the pool. What? I don't know how any loving husband would leave his wife at the bottom of the pool without making every effort to save her. It struck me as a very strange and suspicious behavior. It seems something happened to his wife, but he was never held responsible. It makes you wonder if he was responsible in some way for his wife's death. We will never know. I started to look up stories about the Star Trek cast members. I noticed how all the members seemed to support and cheer for each one as they received their Star on the Hollywood walk of fame. One person seemed to be absent from these events, and it was William Shatner. Why? Was he disliked by all of the cast members, or did Shatner not wish to support them in such happy times? This interview with Larry King left me feeling like Shatner was pompous, narcissistic, and kind of unlikable. I should have stuck with Star Trek and remained a fan.

Anyone who lives within 200 miles of Bill, and I do, knows that the wife who supposedly drowned was really a mermaid... It was her time to go back to the ocean... The 911 call was made to give them a moment's privacy from speculative fans and a free ride to the Pacific

That's Shatner being an entertainer. Like with most actors, they play for the cameras. When he recalls his time onboard the space shuttle in Earth's lower obit, he shows very warm and humble side.
