As a cardiology nurse, get checked out. It was enough of a concern to mention it, and a rule out exam is relatively non-invasive. A stress test on the treadmill, ekg and blood work is a whole lot easier than recovery from by-pass surgery. Just Do It!

Seriously Dougo... my uncle had the same thing and didn't want to go get checked out till his wife called the doctor who is his hunting buddy and he came out to the house and made him go. Turned out he had MAJOR blockages and could have had a heart attack at any moment. They did surgery on him and he's out moose hunting right now. PLEASE.. do it for your family!

Yeah, I survived major heart attack, no typical symptoms, heavy sweating & heart burn /acid reflux, doc told me was lucky to be 6 ft up!

My dad never smoked, drank or had an amount of stress exceeding what 2 sons cause. My mom being an RN convinced him to go when he had symptoms that sound similar. Long story short..it saved his life!

Dougo, don’t put off going to doctor, my wife recently had a massive heart attack with vitals being normal. Pain wasn’t heart attack type so emergency dept was slow on reacting but ECG had hospital transfer urgently to another with heart facilities. God had he had his hand on her so survived to be able to celebrate our our 50th anniversary on 18 September.

Ridged makes a good vacuum and fairly quiet. I hove two on the farm up here in Ontario Canada, stay safe this harvest season. Thank a farmer folks if you ate today.

Dougo we all need to keep an eye on our health. Don’t neglect it and ignore things. I’ve had a tooth ache for a couple weeks and the pain is bad now. If I had gone in right away I wouldn’t have the pain. I’m going to the dentist tomorrow. Please everyone take care of ourselves!

Chet…they make vibrators for hopper bottom trailers to clean out like bean meal and such,maybe you could “engineer” a couple of them onto your overhead bin to shake out any left over bees wings or whatever may be stuck to the sides.

My Johnny would be here to harvest his land if he would of seen a Dr. I know this world is not are home we're just passing through but still on that note God did create a great physician here on this Earth to help us to stay healthy or attend to our needs as they may arise. There's much stress involved in this world today let alone the farming Dynamics have changed so much just within the last year. I can speak for myself that grief can do many silent things to the body mind and soul. Stress can also be silent think we got a handle on things our prayer life is in the right order so we think and then bang. When you related Nikki's condition that y'all went to investigate my heart stopped because my sweet wife had the identical issue, resulting from a different cancer, with the same ultimate result. Don't let him slough it off, even in harvest.

My brother (he is 58) just had a major stroke that has been attributed in part to heart palpitations and he will probably never be the same again - Get checked NOW, Mr. Larson. It could save your life...

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. First of all: Dougo please do get a checkup on your heart. I know is a stressful time right now with harvest but take the time to get a checkup. I had some heart problems but they caught it early and had me fixed up. Please please please do this for your family and us!!!!!!!!! The demo fertilizer spreader is absolutely huge. What a machine that is, wow. Will be interesting to see how it works. Carries a huge amount of fertilizer. Anxious for that video. Toby is busy being the yard supervisor. Love that dog. Good dog Toby. The seat cover for the shop truck is really neat. Old school type cover. Will help on that seat instead of the duct tape. Chet, not trying to tell you what to do, but do not think you should be in that overhead bin without a harness and safety line. Just saying. Safety is important when in a bin like that. How you do those heights is beyond me. No way could I do that. Can’t do the height thing. Lots of jobs to do on a farm to keep everything going. Do not think a lot of people understand that. Always something that needs attention. Appreciate the way you all work together, just great!!!! Go get your Ticker checked out Dougo! The "Right to Repair" Bill also pertains to Farm Hands, not just their equipment! They can plug you in just like a newer piece of machinery and run diagnostics on your engine room.

One time I was trying to remove one of those satellite TV provider's receiver, you know, the ones they don't want back (so wasteful). Anyway, I fell off the ladder and almost impaled myself on a piece of rebar that was sticking out of the ground. If you're wondering, we were using the rebar to prevent the garden hose from damaging a tree as the hose was moved around the yard.

Dougo my mom and my self more her than me have had heart palpitations which is similar to what you explained I think it was something to do with stress and too much caffeine

I went and got a complete 6 hour heart exam and was told I was the healthiest 52 year old man they'd ever seen lol had a heart attack 3 days later, thank God someone knew CPR , LISTEN TO YOUR BODY DOUG

There are some things you just don’t screw with. Something feeling funny in the chest is near the top of the list.

Get a sump pump, use it in my shop sump all the time. Quiet, fast, efficient. Either a simple electric pump or hook one up with float and let it run when it needs to…

Wow. End of September and you guys are bundled up in hoodies; and here in NE Florida, it's 84 degrees ... Chet is a VERY knowledgeable and skilled young man.

Dougo, don’t play around with that chest pain or any discomfort, i had the same thing for a year or so and ended up having 4 bypasses done. I wish now I had listen to my family and went in for a check up with a cardiologist.

A company that I once worked for, had similar bins to grain bins. We had installed air vibrators on the outside of the bins. This actually helps to knock down all that dust build up. Something to think about in the future Chet. Diaphragm pumps Chet, look into them, nice and quiet and yes, they'll do a far better job than a shop vac. Now, to Dougo, yes, you really want to get checked out. Chet, add some reflector flags on the fenders on "Thunder". You'll be able to see the flags over the rest of the trailer. Cheers :)

Worked at a place where they had air driven vibrators on the lower cones to shake the junk down.

You guys need a 1/4 hp geyser brand submersible water pump for cleaning the water from the pit . We used one for many years for watering our garden from a river. You can place the pump in a 5 gallon bucket with some holes drilled in it and lower right down into the pit . We could pump 30 gpm through 250 feet of garden hose all sumer long They are only $65 just a thought . Great video keep up the good work!

Chet, Tell your mum that Dougo has chest pains. Dob him in. And with the new fuel trailer being skinny, Make a bar that is the width of the shop truck and mount it to the trailer. I had to when I had to reverse a skinny trailer. Couldn't see it for the life of me when reversing till I put the bar in. I made it temp so it didn't get in the way. Just used it for reversing.

Dont screw around with the chest pain. When I drove cross country I started having back pain on my driving shift. You have to do ten hour shifts, so I thought it was just from sitting so long. I had none of the numb arm stuff, just pain right between the shoulder blades. I took aspirin and it went away. A couple days later at home, same thing. Took more aspirin and it went away. Two days later I was at work and got really sick, they took me to the ER. I had been having a heart attack/blocked artery all that time. I was lucky I survived. Take it seriously, and we always hear about numb arm....but it can be pain in other locations too.

Dougo, I'm a paramedic, and i strongly recommend going in for an ECG and checkup. Not after harvest, but now. There are really good options to threat heart issues before they become a major issue.

Yeah my dad never had a heart attack and his symptoms are very similar to Doug's. Dad had 80% blockage on the widow maker, got two stints and a balloon.

Go get checked out, I've had a few weird heart issues and now I'm wearing a Zio xt for a couple weeks to see what's going on. The thing is pretty tiny and you just wear it under your shirt. Better to figure it out when you're still sunny side up. Later guys

Chet save yourself a bunch of headaches down the road I recommend taking the def nozzle and bucket and keep eating in the bucket just enough water in their to keep the nozzle submerged so the def doesn’t crystallize and make more problems down the road for you

Mount a Syntron vibratory to that bin and you won't have to go in to clean it.

I have to do a similar thing in our mobil dryer. Tight places and a lot of dust with bird poo. Love it. :D

Hey Chet you guys could get an insert box with conveyor and do multi application. Fits right in the back of fertilizer bin.

If you look up Delco cleaning supplies they make commerical wet vacs/dry . It's a little expensive but they are quiet and can hold alot .

Chet you just need to get a submersible small pump, they make them that run off 120V and you just hook a water hose to them . We use them all time the time. They pulll water from the bottom. Be a trick for that. No noise

Dougo, I had 2 widow maker heart attacks without any prior chest pains. I have had 2 stents implanted. Please go get checked out. The worse that can happen is you spend a little time away from the farm. We want you here for a while longer ok???

@larson farms, have you considered adding a vibrator to your overhead bin? That way all you have to do is turn it on from the ground and it will shake all the dust off the walls. I used to work at a flour mill and we added a vibrator to our packing bin. Cleaned that bad boy out so good.

Worked at didions feed mill in Johnson creek wi for 5 years. kinda miss it, it had the best sights in the county...
