i love the idea of doing the opposite of what the corp is supposed to! maybe for GSO you do a juggernaut of a craft, with tiny gso shields and batteries covering it

Its funny how when you want to create a plane specifically in this game, it often has issues taking off or staying in the sky, flying straight, etc. But as soon as you try to build a small, fast ground vehicle, suddenly it just flies better than any purpose built plane xD

The opposite of each corp is a great idea. There you go. Let's see everything built before this series ends.

For GSO, you could make a ridiculously specialized vehicle that can basically only do one thing, to balance the generalism, and for Hawkeye you could make a gathering craft to counter the militarist aesthetic.

Btw with most recording software now they allows auto file splitting (eg. obs 28 has this) and this allows it so if your computer fails you only lose up to the last split and not the whole recording, sometimes this is an extra plugin though (I commented this last vid but KZfaq deleted it no idea why)

The techs are being controlled from a remote location. They did this lore wise so thier game wouldnt be 18+ in several countries

okay well , this may be a dumb theory however , i think people are actually in cabs and do pilot the techs but to prevent them from dying when their tech is destroyed the person is probably teleported to safety before the cab can COMPLETELY detonate

I love the idea for the tech being the opposite of what their corporation usually represents and after you are with them all make a Frankenstein of all the techs put together without adding or taking away any blocks basically the same amount and types of blocks that make up the tech corps put together

Consider; If you stick with making opposite techs to make the gso one an amalgam of all corporations, taking their specialties to specialize on EVERYTHING, a flyer, driver, tank, quick moving, scrapping capable monster of an endgame tech etc etc; Dunno how possible it'd be just a thought from a fellow terratecher! Also love the series, and have done since the first terratech series, used to watch ftd back in the day and terratech sorta scratches that itch! Much love

Loving the TerraTech series, loads! I remember you asking for new series ideas a couple months back or so, and I would like to pitch the idea of doing another Modded Reassembly series. Don't stop TerraTech or nothing, just mix it into the rotation, ya know. From the Depths, Reassembly and TerraTech are my top 3 favorite series on the channel. You really can't go wrong, and I'm sure there's gotta be some pretty cool new mods for Reassembly.

I personally think the techs are controlled remotely like the lore. But I think the reason they have windows is because they are driven by robots, the controller uses vr to drive the things safely, so his consciousness is “transferred” to the robot. They use special suits that have the robot mimic their movements exactly, and I think that the prospectors are either in orbit on a controlling station, wich is why tech fall from the sky, or they are on a planet that has been turned into a city planet, and they are in a controlling area. There are robots in each cab, and if the robot is destroyed, that’s when you get the respawn mechanic and the tech comes down from the orbiting tech/controller station.

I don't blame you with those solar panels; the Hawkeye block animations are absolutely amazing. Also, the main reason I think for flying being easy is that when building a fast craft, you're already making it have a really, really good power-to-weight ratio, so when that power doesn't stop in the air, it doesn't really need much angle to generate effective lift.

Fun fact: the camo paint scheme on the armor plates makes it look like they strapped tracks onto the vehicle as additional armor, something that was done in WWII to add a few extra millimeters of protection.

Lorewise: There *are* people in the cabs, but the cabs have a side-dimensional ejection system for safety that tosses you safely into Another Dimension(TM) and lets you crawl back out into another Cab easily enough. Cabs are special because they have the beacons to let you swap between them via Another Dimension(TM) at relatively short ranges.

14:08 I recommend magnets and turning as items are dragged in and then once everything is in one place, you can use the SCU Especially for cases like 16:30 where things are scattered around, outside of a normal SCU's range

I love that the future lathrix tech just gets bigger and bigger

The blocks take a second to explode after they hit critical health, so that might be what you are talking about. Venture repair bubbles actually tick every half second so they can keep blocks alive, even though they should explode. One shortcoming I noticed with laser boats is lasers don't seem to do damage to the armor plates and blocks. So don't be surprised if it doesn't look like its ever going to get through the GEO Shock Plating, cause it won't.

on the subject of the cabs having people: Reading the GEO Corp's main cab, it states that it has lots of luxury accommodations for a single person in them, including a hot tub.

Love the idea of doing the opposite of what a corporation was meant for, and for GSO you could make a craft that servers one very specific purpose. It wouldn't be very practical, but GSO's thing is they're a jack of all trades, so the opposite would be a tech with only one purpose.

Hey Lathrix, here's a tip: Kinetic weapons(aka non-explosive guns like the Venture Hail fire Rifle and especially the Hawkeye Auto Cannon) actually do more damage against shields than explosive weapons do. The counter to Kinetic weapons is armor plating, as it will absorb the bullets and stop the damage from getting beyond them. The counter to armor plating, as you may guess, is explosive damage, as the explosion will just go through the armor plating and hit the blocks behind it. Shields are meant to counter explosive weapons, while armor counters Kinetic weapons.

The idea of opposite purpose sounds fantastic. The opposite of Hawkeye should be a vehicle that is INCREDIBLY underpowered and destroyable.
