Your description made my anxiety SKYROCKET. I haaaate having things (put) in my eyes, with the exception of contacts lol but I've been considering lasik for such a long time. 11-12 seconds each eye didn't sound too bad lol the only thing that's been stopping me is my fear of going blind if something were to go wrong. You're very brave and you encouraged me to want to move forward with my decision. Thanks so much for the closure! 😂❤️

I'm so happy the surgery went well! I wear glasses and love them but if I was told LASIK is an option...I don't think I'll be able to get it because just hearing the description of how it goes absolutely supercharges my anxiety lol. But I'm glad it's good for others. Also thank goodness for your mini-eating show complete with not talking with your mouth full and no loud eating noises :) It was a relief, trust me.

This is so interesting! I'm cross-eyed and getting surgery for it in June I'm excited but scared after that I hope to get LASIK as well,, maybe I'll do it in Korea hmmm. Great video Mel xx

I'm so happy I saw your video!!! One of my eyes is like -4.75 & the other is like -5.00 whatever and I also have astigmatism. This is the GREATEST insight ever and you also mentioned cost. THANKYOU SO MUCH!!!

Interesting, I was a -4.75 in both eyes with a slight astigmatism in both. My Lasek in Toronto, Canada cost me about $3700 with medication and stuff. I could have bought a plane ticket, had a vacation to Korea and gotten surgery and still saved almost $1000 lol crazy.

***** yeah I think -3.25 in one eye....if you go back she says both of them and astigmatism in the left I think.

JaMar Thomas I've heard you should wait until your eyes matured first?? Like until your 26 or 28 I think. Also, I would love to get them done in Korea but I'm not sure how plausible that is for me vs. getting them here in the states 😥

Love you makeup girl!! Thanks for sharing. I have been wanting to get my eyes don't for years, but I feel like I would have a panic attack and jump out of the chair. Did they give you any type of meds to calm you down before they started?

ALSO was it $1,193 for both eyes?? wow, in australia it starts from a minimum of $2000 for ONE eye wtfffff if i do get it imma definitely fly my ass to korea

I felt the same way honestyl!! i loved having glasses as an option but 3 months later and I don't miss 'em at allll.

how old do you have to be to get LASIK surgery? i'm 19 years old and I legit have -5.0 on both eyes and without glasses, I can barely see anything and I can't make up someone's face even from just 3 feet away from me 😭 I wanna get it when I study in Korea on September! are they strict with age?

hmm, I'm honestly not sure! I know a lot of college kids get it so maybe 18?? but I'm not sure if they need their parents consent.
