@@mariosonicfan1494cause they never explored it or at least yet. the ending of chapter 2 with allison takes place between chapter 2 and where we see the lamberts present day in 5. 3 and 4 were basically just prequels to the original. i hope they do explore allison at some point i honestly wish they did that first before jumping back to the present day lamberts

This ending was more just to throw another last scare for the audience same type of thing as how 3 ended just final scares. They never really had any intention of following this ending up maybe at some point we may see a comic book cover it.

@@boomstickcritique902 Perhaps it could be a concept for the spinoff movie, Thread, but it’s left to debate. It would be nice to know what would happen, essentially bridge the gap between this movie and The Red Door’s ending - or perhaps somebody could always make a fan film of it. I probably would. You won’t imagine the things people could do nowadays with those or fan fictions, even if they’re not really canonical.

I'm so confused!!! I need a reply! I am rewatching Chapter 1&2. How did Josh get stuck in the further, when he hasn't even done the astral projection? He only does it when Dalton is stuck. But in Chapter 2 it shows scenes of (Josh is stuck in the further) and tries to get into the house where he sees (another Josh inside the house). Also, how does the young Josh see the old Josh and old Elise and shows them the way ? I AM SO CONFUSED!

In the first movie Josh went to the further to bring Dalton back, but another entity entered his body before he could so he got stuck there. That's why in the second movie, Josh is in the further and sees the entity possessed Josh inside the house.
