I loved this movie, its one of the best one I have seen in a long time. But i also completely understand Why some people dont like it at all. If you are a fan of ambiant music, sci-fi lore, abstract dreamlike architecture and existentialism you will probably like/love this movie like me, because that is basically what is there. If not... Well you wont like it, simple as that.

Breathtaking cinematography that would have been easy to get wrong and have it come across as monotonous and boring, but the shots are so confident and beautiful and somehow diverse despite the single subject of focus that the images remains engrossing throughout. The slow camera movement in some shots was brilliant.

Watched it as I love Sci Fi and am a little tired of all the movies about battles in space. Based on a book from the 1930s. Also Tilda Swinson is great in anything she does. This is an amazing spectacle, a dream almost and the story and narrative is so strong. I can only imagine the imagery on an Imax screen. Gonna watch again most certainly.

I liked it too. It's sparse, minimalist, and makes you do the imaginary work. But definitely not for many. Maybe not for most. I think it helps if you are familiar with his soundtracks, Prisoners, The Arrival, Sicario. And aware the "Last and First Men" was a science fiction novel of a sprawling amount of time. A sort of non-story. It was also an inspiration as Arthur C. Clarke and Kubrick collaborated on the story for 2001.

Amazing film watched it last night was blown away. To anticipate 3 billion years into the future is a phanominal achievement to actually put it in a film is beyond expectations. It does leave me with great wonder. I wanna see it again for sure as I feel I will get different things from lt if u do. The amount if wonder it leaves u with, 24 hours since I watched it and my head is still wtf! 🤣 I'm honestly blown away by it.

Love the visuals, as I like brutalist structures. But music is overly dramatic and the narration so purposely slow with unnecessary long pauses. One can just read those chapters of the book. But run the video portion and put on you own music that better suites.

This movie was very painful to sit through, I'm kinda dumbfounded by the praise for it. It's more of a book reading with a slideshow to go along with it. I found nothing about the story interesting or compelling and the concept of what people billions of years in the future would be like is incredibly conservative and small minded, very pessimistic really.

I just watched it. The cinematography is fine but it isn't particularly amazing/breathtaking. It was almost always just shots of some structures which sometimes serve as a vague visual presentation of what's happening in the story being told. All in all those unfortunately came to me as something lazy, monotonous, and unimaginative. The only two things that kept me watching till the end was the story and Swinton's narration. Overall, the story is very good as well as the narration, but the cinematography isn't unique or breathingtaking enough for it to not come off as "generic" and unimaginative and boring.

This has got to be the worst film Of all time. I’ve tried twice to watch this. The 1st time only lasted 15 min then I turned it off then after wanting something to watch I came across it again and read the comments and thought maybe it gets better after 15 but nope it’s seriously sooooooo bad. What the he’ll is it because it’s not a movie at all, there’s just a woman speaking with creepy music and pics of rocks. It’s terrible. I don’t understand what it is. Is this a piece of art because it’s not a documentary and it’s an insult to be called a movie. What the hell are all these people watching that commented, am I missing something. Maybe after 30 min actual people pop up and the movie stArted lol because there’s no people, there’s no acting, there’s no story, there no plot it’s something that should be in like maybe a back room in a museum titled very bad movie please don’t watch!!!!
