Danny has some serious talent. The first evasions at the beginning set the stage and demoralized the opponent.

I love the little touches he does constantly. Just touching the opponents gloves with a soft jab, or keeping the jab hand busy so he can't be timed. I was a little worried at the end when he dropped his hands a few times, but overall brilliant performance

Great adjustment to take it inside. He had some skills on the outside but was clearly uncomfortable inside. Great fight from both kids tho

Very good fight, both fighters indeed. Danny found the way inside that slick southpaw. Those are the fights that make a fighter a good one.

Both kids unloaded with so,e good shots in what I thought was a close fight. Real nice moves inside during the 3rd round by Danny. Interesting watching his bouts..

Again, excellent stuff. Tom can I ask, do you remember a Mexican flyweight called Albert Jimenez back in the last 90s I guess? He fought Too Sharp Johnson in a great fight. I only mention it because his stature was similar to Danny's, and his style quite close to what you have brought out in Danny, he reminded me of Jimenez a little especially switching lefty against the lefty, he had an aggressive style using slips and footwork to get angles for the power shots, he would roll behind his shoulder and counter off it.

Danny is learning on the job that your target will not allow you to enjoy your work; with that being evident it appears that an adjustment from being too flatfooted and following his opponent instead of circulating away from the straight left, an outside fighter would keep Danny at bey with a persistent jab to set up his combos, just my perspective he’s still advancing keep it up Danny 🥊

I would like to see him fight a taller outboxer who dances in the ring. As in he moves as he punches. Or a switch-hitter with a good understanding of positioning and angles. It would be great to see how danny adjusts his defense in response to the angles that this opponent will create. Since staying stationary and relying on head movement will not work against this type of fighter. That would be very interesting.

@@Nergal123 you are absolutely right on, he must have these fundamentals established for the style of fighter present and make those adjustments as needed. If he starts to improve on the balls of his feet and set up his work with the jab he will be more fluid and elusive 🥊

Tom talked about generating power and how you need to not be on your toes because it breaks the connection to the ground. The ground is what you use to get power. He has a video on his channel about it. So this is intentional. As long as you aren't punching it's ok to be on your toes.

Yea he was, but that's common when fighting someone in the opposite stance and all they're really doing is timing you with that punch when you go to step in.. More feints would've stopped that but easier said than done
