With the 2024 Midland and Airport Line Shutdown starting on the evening of the 28th of March, Bayswater platform 2 saw its last outbound services towards Midland and High Wycombe serving it, as after the shutdown the new island platform will open and these services will move to platform 4, while platform 2 will remain unused until the Morley-Ellenbrook Line opens, with Perth-bound trains on this line serving it in the future. This means that platform 2 was only serving outbound trains for about six months since the original opening of the new Bayswater Station. In this video we travel on the tracks before and after platform 2 in the outbound direction for the last time onboard set 1, and view some trains coming in onto the platform at sunset, as well as the last three services on it, one to High Wycombe, one to Midland, and one terminating.
