In Australia, our school year has just completely finished. Our school year goes with the calendar year - end of Jan to the middle of Dec. So my son just finished Grade 1, next year at the start he is grade 2. We have 4 terms, roughly 9-10 weeks long, 2 weeks break between terms except Dec - Jan which is 6 weeks - our summer holidays. It's cool learning about different countries schooling systems and how they work. I've always wondered what time they usually start school and what time they usually finish at in the US.

The little ones loved it.🥳🥳🥳😁😁 Jared and Shelly, I watched the greatest idea on KZfaq this morning! 🤩🤩 The father of five took coffee mugs, turned them upside down with candy, money, gift cards, etc…. One by one, each child chose one and got to keep what they picked. He put out enough mugs for each to choose three times. I'm so happy that you celebrate the achievments and milestones in the children's lives, but here is a challenge: doing that, but without needing to use so much one-time throw away plastics and other garbage. Sorry to be that guy, but landfills and the environment are over loaded with single use plastics. The amount of animal deaths attributed to balloons and other plastics is mind boggling!
