I have resigned from my first job in Sweden. I am a nurse from the states and have been living in Sweden for almost 2 years. I work in home health as an undersköterska or nurse aid until I receive my nurse license. I am moving to Malmö for my new job.

Hi, im accualy interested in Texas, so i found you by searching on how to move to the states. But i think it's way to hard to move there from Sweden. Malmö might be a good place, but it is one of the last places i would move to in Sweden personally. As a nurse you can pick and choice where to work. Wish you the best! And if you have any great tips on Texas stuff/sites/channels etc. Please share :)

Thanks Daniel! I actually came across a very small KZfaq channel where the guy does nothing but travel to all the small towns in Texas. I think his goal is to visit every town in Texas. He has about 700 followers. I actually turn it on and leave it in the back ground if I am feeling homesick. His channel is @HaveKayaksWillTravel . I was shocked to find out one of the small communities of only about 300 people way out in the middle of no where was started by Norwegians. It is a town called Cranfills gap. I actually went there once. It does not feel very Norwegian aside for the name of the church there but it is fascinating history. When it comes to Swedes moving to Texas, I am not sure. I have met europeans from France, England, one of my previous bosses from Scotland, and a couple Swedes who have moved to Texas. I hope one day to interview some Swedes who have successfully done it to post on this platform in the future. I think the best way is if you have a degree in something like IT which is pretty international.

Good luck! On the driver license, you actually don't need the physical license to start to drive, you can drive without it as long as you can identify yourself.

I wish you good luck! I like to follow people that moved to sweden.. im curious about your experience/impressions! And then, listening to people moving to sweden hiting every bump on the road, make me remember all the bumps I hit in my life, and there is probably more, becuse im not dead yet! In anyway, im happy you made it.. so I dont need to cry! Moving to another country is a challange.. and I recon that probably there is more swedes in US then US citicens in sweden.. soo it couldnt be that bad in USA?

@@becurious2000 Well, not that saying, but I think UK/Monty Python is more similar to swedish humor/sayings then to USA, its more self reflecting and have a bottom of darknes! To get in to the swedish soul.. one have to understand swedish mindset! Its dark at the bottom and frome that bottom we are kind of proude of what we have/got/achived.. but one shall not brag about it.. Jante and Lagom! So for you a special masterpice of swedish song, to understand the dark bottom of swedishnes; "Man Får Vara Glad Att Man Inte Är Död" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ibqeZZleu8jYYqc.html&ab_channel=LarsDemianVEVO

A diabetes educator. What a tough challenge that must be in Sweden. If there’s one thing I learned from my Swedish hubby- he loves him some salt licorice, and candy 🍬🍭 in general. 😂😂 Not the best diet choices if diabetes is a concern.

yea it can be challenging! It sure is awesome when you see people implement change though and feel better. I think 90 percent of the battle with diabetes management is a psychological battle.

Tho i got a job as usk in stroke unit in Alingsås after 5 months still its a struggle everyday esp during endorsement. So Im just curious why.

Hi there! It was a combination of factors. They include that I love traveling abroad, had dreamed to move to another country since I was a boy and follow in my grandmothers footsteps as she lived in Germany and England, my physical and mental health is much better when I am in Sweden, access to nature, the peace and quiet, I have PTSD from a lot of bad things in my life in America and even the psychiatrist said moving abroad could be a helpful change, criminality and gun violence which I have been a victim of, I was quite bored in the USA and needed a big challenge which I got learning Swedish, and many other reasons. I don’t hate America and think for some it’s a great fit. For myself I thrive better in Europe.

I haven’t tracked all of your vids, just watched the last few, so excuse me for asking because you’ve probably posted the answer long ago, but…….What’s your nationality ancestry?? European? You’re obviously aware that many Americans are now coming to Europe and getting residential rights because their parents/grandparents were Europeans, so they have rights to a passport? Check it out….👍🏻👍🏻

I am a bit mixed- sort of like a stray dog 🐕 😂 mostly Irish/British, then a little Jewish, a little Levantine, a little indigenous American, a large chunk of the area that would be Germany/France/ Netherlands/Belgium, a little Congolese, a little Scandinavian (Finnish and Norwegian)… whew … did I get it all? 😂 the issue for me is all the ancestors I traced back to Europe came mostly in the 1600-1700 period. I have some dead ends in the 1800s but nothing recent that would allow me to obtain citizenship here. I have a lot of ancestors that came in the first boats to America when it was under British rule

@@becurious2000 I work with an American woman who has an Italian passport due to her paternal grandparents emigrating to to the USA in the 1930s. Grandpa made sure that his kids (her dad) kept their Italian roots & connections and they all had Italian passports, even though dual-citizenship wasn’t permitted in the US back then. Smart👍🏻 She can work anywhere in the EU thanks to that passport👍🏻(although actually she retires in couple of years!!😀).
