You've hard me say it, you'll likely hear me say it again, you've seen it, you've felt it.. The 2023/2024 ice fishing season as been an absolute roller coaster ride. I was planning on overnight camping at this location, in hopes of landing a 16"+ crappie, but the weather, and the ice conditions changed the game plan. Sure I could have camped, but would it have been the smartest? Probably not. So I set out for a few hour after dark mission, and whelp.. I'm glad I did.

Ain't that the truth about a good woman. I am 45 years old and been with my wife for 25 years and she has always supported me in everything I've done. From trying to be a professional bowler to driving race cars and of course fishing. If she didn't like any of it I would have never known. Moral of my story is if you find a good woman like that put a ring on her finger.

Best thing for lighting glow jigs is a disposable camera flash, one flash on each side and your golden for a lot longer than using a flash light. The flash still work even after its been developed. But we just always bought the cheap ones for the flash and used them till they died which is quite awhile, few months anyways.

Completely agree. Ice season in eastern iowa lasted a whole 10 days this year. At this point it can just stay thawed. I don't understand why it can't just stay 20-25 degrees during the winter. It's 40 below one week and 50 above the next, literally no in between anymore. I got all this expensive shit and I'd like to use it but the last 4 years the window is so narrow, if at all. Very annoying

@@B1GE2 agree. I like consistency. Ice either needs to get thick enough that you don't have consider conditions on a daily basis, or just melt entirely and stay that way

Only got 1 day on the ice this season, but it was "8 thick. No electronics,finally a guy came in,found em. Caught probably 15 a peace,I got 6 keepers,he got 6 or 7 and of corse the fun as hell denks. The iPhone will still record in the dark with just a little light. Use a smaller less bright light. You might experiment with it

Great videos.. I think you live out in the middle of corn fields in Nebraska or Iowa witch I travel for work a ton and know those states good you need to pack up the family and move to Michigan the opportunity to expand your channel on fishing content. I see you in these tough fishing spots you hit, and Michigan would be a great place to fish and grow a family. The fishing here is the best nation wide.. all species from catfish to trout open water to river fishing to big lake fishing. Also plenty of jobs and cost of living is good.

That weird shit shows up at night everywhere I fish salt or fresh and all the way back to the paper graph days which most viewers have probably never seen and thank God we don't have to use anymore. Josh anytime you are fishing glow shitz hit them with your camera flash and you will freak at how bright it glows them. You really should bring the wife down and catch a Sailfish someday soon its on the house!!

Ice season is most likely over in parts of Wyoming. We had a week of high 50’s and it destroyed anything good. The season never even really got started here.

You make some killer vids man. You should save at least 10% of your revenue for new equipment and promoting your channel. I feel you should buy a boat as well. Spend some time getting familiar with a boat if you are not already familiar with boats and promote more of the other species besides catfish. Not a catfish hater, (especially through the ice),but I think you have a natural ability with all fish and could expand greatly. Boo is a great wife, she understands you working late to gain content and us fans appreciate it as well. Always remember you are in the entertainment industry.✌️
