+David Auster Cars have batteries. When it says 0% that means that battery is legaly empty, so your race does not count. If they would use batteries to real 0%, they would wreck the batteries, because no battery should ever go flat if you want to have long life.

+eskimodude812 Agreed. Reading all the comments here of people enamoured with the sport.. I'm confused. This is just the first time I've watched any formula e, but it really doesn't seem anywhere as exciting or difficult as formula 1.

So what's the point in over taking and leading first when the most energy wins ? Another thing to point out is what if the energy meter is rig I mean everyone is running on the same type of batterys and on average everyone is in single digit percentage. Someone is going to say its the electric motor efficiency but if thats the case they just put in the slowest motor and race last and win with a estimate 50% energy left.

No. Piquet won the championship by points, not the energy percentage. He have to finish the race in better than 9th place for secure the championship victory.

+still_guns What are you on about? Its an entire season. It was their finishing positions that determined the final points scores. Much like Vettel and Alonso in 2012. N.P Jr had the most points in the end, thus he won the title. Had Buemi gone past Senna, he would've achieved enough points to take the title. The race winner remains the race winner. We're talking about an entire championship here. London was the final race.

+still_guns Its simply a coincidence. He won the title. The title is more important than the win. Also the win was undecided and needed to be examined still as the winner ran out.
