Totally agree with you about the stewards. Same company does Utd and Saints. We were with Aberden at Saints a few weeks ago, a supervisor asked to borrow my ticket to show the stewards what a ticket looked like!!!!! Overly offiscious, treat people badly including kids and people will be put off coming to games.

Dundee cound create a bad wrap as a unwelcoming club for the fans and media if their security don't calm down and work with fan and media for the benefit for everyone.

Jobsworth stewards. We've got them here at exeter. Spend the whole game making sure you've not got one foot in the gangway. Yet when an opposition fan is in the home end, they're nowhere to be seen. Keep doing what you do.

Dens park most unfriendly stadium on Scotland. Been there as a Killie fan and never got the same atmosphere as you do with United. Yeah agree staff are terrible there

Earlier in the season against livingston they kicked out about 10 boys for setting off pyro after a goal, Dundee security’s a joke.

I’d contact the security company directly, they’re not employees of Dundee FC unfortunately and like you say this is pretty much the norm from them. Safe Tay Security is who to contact.

I was at that game and I am a Dundee FC supporter and most of the stewards there are like little Hitlers, same stewards in the same place at every match and think they own their patch. They do not do it anymore to me as I am a man of a certain age and the words (when you move seats etc) "what are you going to do about it" makes them back off. I know it is not Dundee FC's fault as it is a third party company who provides the stewards but stand up to them as you did and the fans around you did and they back off.

The stewards at Dens are a bunch of dullards and have always ruined the atmosphere at Dens. You’d think Dundee would be pleased that someone was giving them some free publicity.

Make a complaint to the 3rd party security company. As someone else says the snp hate football fans and that’s why they try and talk to you like sh1t. The penalty you could’ve filmed which most probably everyone else did you couldn’t because of these clowns. Na keep on at them Blair as you have the freedom of the press if your an independent journalist. Shame Dundee fc and their security into a personal apology!

Ik this is different but it does involve the stewards at an spfl match. I went to hibs away at killie a couple weeks ago the 2-2 draw, I had an Irish flag (as you do supporting hibs ) it had no signs offensive or sectarian imagery on it just a plain old flag. I took a photo with a mate outside the ground with it and instantly security came over and started pressuring me and my mate asking to see it and inspect it. I complied as I’ve brought it to other away days and it was just some procedure, but they looked at it straight away and told me that was a hazard to the safety of the people in the stadium and all that bullshit. I started to say that I’ve never had problems with it in the past and I don’t use it in any sectarian ways and I just bring it to show the clubs heritage and my own families heritage. They said they didn’t care and it had to go or I wouldn’t be allowed in. So I asked could you take it for me and return it to me after the game and they said it wasn’t there problem and they did not have the facilities the keep it safe so I had to resort to shoving it down my shoe. Didn’t bring it out in the game cuz i didn’t want to start bother but it left a sour taste in my mouth and they made me very uncomfortable . So Ik that security can pull stupid shit for the sake of it. I might be in the wrong cuz I have no clue abt spfl rules but I’ve been to over 20 away games with this and this was the first time I was told that I wasn’t allowed it

Absolutely embarrassed by my fitba club. Living in NZ I rely on boys like yerself giving an alternative view on games, and to be shut down is scandalous. Them stewards have been a joke for years. Time they were sorted OOT

Wouldn't have happened if this was Celtic or Rangers filming... As a Livi fan they are the same with us too in that dangerous, minging stand across where you were based in the Derry. United, we had a fiasco with our drum. One minute allowed the next not and continue... Following week celtic had their drum, flares, smokes and everything else allowed it seemed.
