this game was a microcosm of the general rule in sports - the superstars show up at the end of the game and generally decide it. Clark is, of course, the quintessential superstar, but Gabbie Marshall's block, steal, and quick-thinking time out with about 30 seconds to go was the sequence that basically iced the game. that was huge.

It’s a generational aspect, “no mustard on the pass”. Women’s sports should be watched by women, not men. Instead they watch kardashians. But men have noticed, a certain competitive nature in women’s college BASKETBALL that is entertaining. I shall watch.

@camoss37242 ай бұрын
That three-pointer by Caitlin Clark with :51.3 left in overtime took guts. She needed a two for the lead, but instead stepped back and rolled the dice. That's what special players do. Even on nights when their shot isn't falling that well, they still want the ball at the end because they know they only need one. She's starting to remind me of Larry Bird with Indiana State back in 1979. (Gads, was that really 45 years ago?) Just a transcedent superstar. Unlike Larry and the Sycamores, however, I hope Caitlin and the Lady Hawkeyes don't come up one game short of their goal.
