I love american cars of the 70s and 80s. I want to have a 71Dodge Dart or a 71 Ford Galaxie 500. I love it since I first saw "Die Strassen von San Francisco" in german televison when I was a child. With Karl Malden and Michael Douglas. Douglas was named "Inspektor Steve Heller" in german version, because in germany there was another crimeseries with an Inspektor Keller, named "Der Kommissar" with great actor Erik Ode.

Yup, 1988 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with the VIN for the win: 1G6 for US made Cadillac, CD51 for Sedan DeVille, 5 for 4.5L V8, 0 is a check digit, J for the 1988 model year, 4 for Orion, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Orion plant opened in 1983 to produce the 1985 and newer downsized GM luxury cars and still operates today. It made both my G6 convertible and Chevy Sonic as well. Back in '88 somebody paid about 30k for that deville an proudly drove it off the new car lot . I am a Cadillac fan but DeVille's from 1985-1993 were seriously downsized and really do not count among us Deville connoisseurs. Kinda like Mustang connoisseurs do not recognize the 74-78 models.
