Had the Klein lunch box for work for a while. Works great taken a lot of abuse with no issues. Use the litte storage for work tools after a few years it came off but was easily fixed with some plastic weld putty to hold it together.

Lay the cans down flat on the bottom then lay the ice pack down on top of the cans for maximum cold transfer, plus it stops the stuff from rattling around in there more than having everything standing up or on edge.

It doesn’t have to be bear proof, as long as the people you work with can’t get into your things

The 16in "Igloo" cooler I got at Dick's in May cost me $25. 10 hours fishin' in 98F heat and the ice packs were still 3/4 frozen (I did keep it out of the direct sunlight).

I bought the mod box cooler have not used it yet. I bought it for size to fit in my kayak for fishing

I saw that yeti cooler at the store and when I saw the price, my eyes popped out like a wolf in one of the old cartoons! Ridiculous.

The biggest issue with proofing I would have here in Ireland is keeping it child proof, to think bear proofing is an issue over there is crazy 😀 Looks like a great cooler 👍🏻

man, wasted opportunity and poor design on the lid underside....If that lidded compartment had the hinge on the bottom it would be much less frustrating to at least put some ice bags/cubes/gel in there. every cooler should have ice pack holding under the main lid though!

Why would the lid storage open downward, letting whatever you put in there fall into the cooler?? So weird!

How does the cooling capability of the klein compare to the yeti?

Not really a fan of sixty bucks for a small ordinary cooler. For expedition stuff this won't do; for sticking in the car for a day trip or keep ice cream cold from the store a cheap Igloo or Rubbermaid cooler from Walmart is bigger and probably about as good for a third the price. I have not particularly been impressed by Yeti, either. You're paying for a lot of expensive marketing and branding.
