WOW, I am Loving Everything Rhiannon does, I Love this Band and the fact that it is a group of mixed races. I wasn't even aware of Rhiannon Gibbons until I watched the Ken Burns Special ob country music. I also saw her perform on a Country Music Speacial that she opened (sorry my memory is good, just short). I kept looking for her all through that Ken Burns special, wondering, "Where is She"? I love the various styles & blending of music she does. This from a Big Reggae Fan that had gotten back into country music after my father passed. My Dad was a big fan of all the classics from Hank to Cash to Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard (who my dad stole some chickens with when he was in a teenager living in Bakersfield Ca.) I rebelled agaisnt that music back then preferring Hendrix, Cream & The Beatles, Dylan, Donovan etc.later Bob Marley & Reggae was my big thing. Now I am Super excited about what Rhiannon & others in Country,Folk & Bluegrass are playing. I really Love Your Music, Vocals, your Banjo & Fiddle playing and the Musicians you play with. I Love seeing a Cello player, playing a Pasty song and he has Dreads, the guitar player too. Awesome!!!

Where have I been? Not only is she lovely and an incredible talent on vocals, it seems like she has perfect pitch. Which is almost unheard of with vocalists. She did Patsy proud here.

Just goes to show you how much Patsy meant and still means to music still today. I did not know this song till this year, yes i have lived under a rock. And niw i realize it has been sung on the Voice twice, maybe it just took till i was 62 years old to really hear it. Sometimes just need hit over the head to hear the great things of this world. And finding out that Willie Nelson when he was struggling wrote this even better!!!

Judge an artist by the quality of the musicians they attract and work with. The guy playing viola for example - just a guess - he's classically trained but incorporates jazz and blues runs and licks into his playing. What a fantastic solo - left me wanting more. I love how adventurous Rhiannon is - she never fails to surprise and delight. And two thumbs up for the Carolina Chocolate Drops...a re-union in the works? That'd be a concert worth a 15 hour flight and a days drive to see.

Phenomenal. Such passion, heart, and respect to Patsy. Well done!
