Schizophrenia-like symptoms can develop at any point in the life span. It is more common for schizophrenia to arise during adolescence or early adulthood. However, there are additional peaks of schizophrenia risk: one occurring after age 40 and another after age 60.
This talk will address the forms of schizophrenia that occur later in life and will focus on demographic risk factors and treatment considerations for these later life schizophrenias.
This lecture is part of Northeast Ohio University's education(+)consultation service, SZconsult. A powerpoint file for this lecture is available at szconsult.org/
