@@Natd0gsef; I always approached buying a car in the same way my Grandfather did when buying a horse. The sticker price was only a starting point. I always had me financing already set up beforehand, so what I was offering was the same as a cash price. Also, what I offered was an "out the door price", so the dealer had to figure his dealer prep fees and all of the other "add-ons" before making a counter-offer. And I never traded in my old car. Trade-ins only complicate the negotiations. Once I got my new car, I sold my old one myself. If you do you Homework before going to a dealer, you will have a good idea how low the dealer can go.

What you said is very true and I'm probably going to use the same strategy to buy this generation of mustang and about a year and a half now cuz I'm going to have one of these is my first car it's been my dream car for a long time and I've always loved these mustangs and they're really underappreciated because it's been like a year since I last saw one around here near where I live but I've heard recently that they're taking up or I should say filling up spaces in the junkyard which is unfortunate but who knows maybe in the future this will be a collector car especially the the cobras which I think it's nuts that I can get a 96 cobra convertible for like $6,900 but the ones made from 03 to 04 just mental the Ford SVT Cobra Terminator

I just bought a 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible. 21,000 original miles garage kept driven less than 1000 miles a year and I paid $12,000 for the car. The car looks drives and smells like a brand new car. I’ve been a Camaro owner my entire life and currently on a 2010 Camaro RS SS but I feel like I’ve just hit the lottery buying this mustang. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Thank you for posting this video it is very informative and I just subscribed to your channel. Nice deal those cars are underrated for making big power. They have a forged crank and one of the best aluminum blocks ever put into a ford. With forged rods and pistons plus a turbo you can make some big power.

Literally yes ma'am I saw one for sale 3900 and it only had 85,000 MI that's ridiculous for cars like 25 years old my only concern though was in the picture the front left tire was blown out and doesn't look like the door sealed all the way so I don't know if they'd open the door take pictures enough but it was set up as a drag build though so maybe that's why it's so cheap

I never liked the sn95 platform until I bought my 94 gt. I was in a pinch for a cheap daily driver that I could tinker with on the weekends and enjoy driving. I wanted an lx foxbody. But in my area they were beat up badly and needed much work, or they were way over priced. That's when I settled on this 94 gt. And I have to say to this day it is great! I like to think the sn95 was ford correcting some of the issues with the fox body. Disk brakes all around, the front suspension I thought was a little different to improve handling and the interior was updated. Sn95s will only go up in price due to their short run. Im very glad I found mine.

Same here! I got a teal 95 with grey leather interior! It reminds me of the rare teal 93 cobra with grey leather interior. I spent a lot of time and money getting it looking nice! I want to get a set of the 17 in turbine cobra wheels. It’s got 18in wheels at the moment with stock ride height, and looks like a freakin monster truck! It really needs 17s with a set of lowering springs. It just rides so good right now, I don’t want to screw up the ride!
@302hobronco
@302hobronco 4 жыл бұрын
@@justaburgscousin I did SR lowering springs on mine without the bushings. I think it lowered it over 1.5inch. I'm also running a set of 18in 2005 mustang gt 5 blade wheels wrapped in 275/40r18 tires. It looks good and rides good. Get the wheel spacers for the front and rear really improves the look.
@midnight347

It isn't that much heavier over a fox and the interior is much better. The chassis is a modded fox chassis and is alot more rigid and handles better, has 4 wheel discs, 5 lug and lots of room for big meats unlike the fox. They are awesome looking when done right very underrated cars.
@midnight347
@midnight347 3 жыл бұрын
@@justaburgscousin if you lower the car right with proper suspension components it won't "screw up" the ride and going down to 17s with more sidewall will help ride as well. A set of lowering springs and nice upgraded shocks and struts might even make it ride better combined with more sidewall from some light weight 17s (also helps ride beleive it or not...lighter wheels that is). Look at the enkei rpf1 wheels you can get them 17x9 and 17x10 and they are very light for the size with the 17x10 only weighing about 17 lbs which is 5 lbs less than the old school 17x9 cobra r wheels. They don't look bad similar to 10th anniversary cobra wheels in style look for pics of them on sns. Do your research and set it up right.

My '97 SN95 Mustang GT was fantastic, no rattles, no issues and slow performance. It ran 15.0 in the quarter which was half a second slower than my '85 Mustang GT but it was a damn fine daily that sounded good. Adding a missed point that some may not realize is John Coletti saved the Mustang from extinction before the SN95. Ford planned to cease development and retire the name plate after 93 and continue with the Ford Probe. John stood his ground and was able to convince Ford to move forward with the Mustang which gave him the ability to bring forth the 95R, The Boss, Super Stallion, 00R, Ford GT, F150 Lightning and of course everyone’s favourite the 03/04 Terminator. When John left Ford all these cool things left with him, if you haven’t read his book it is a good read.

The Ford probe was still going to be the Ford mustang. It ended up being the Ford probe because they kept the mustang like it was v8 rwd. Mustang fans wrote 1000s of angry letters to Ford stating their displeasure with them doing away with the mustang or making it 4 cylinder fwd rather (basically same thing lol).

I am a big fan of John but they still made some pretty awesome stuff after he left. After 2020 Ford has fallen apart the new leadership is terrible and basically unrecognizable compared to just 10 years ago even.

I owned a 1996 Mustang GT in laser red (dark red) with black leather interior. It was a great car. Bought it as a dealer demo for a very good deal back in 1997 with maybe 6K on the odometer, and kept it for 23 years until finally getting a 2013 Mustang GT 5.0L. That car was so much fun. It wasn't the fastest nor the best-handling, but it just had that muscle car attitude, and those 4.6L modular V-8s sound great, especially with some Flowmasters on there. I'm in the hunt for a 1997-1998 Cobra in good shape. Love me some SN95s!

I thought it was ugly when I bought my first one,then I fell in love driving it, bought a second one, sold it during Lockdown and bought my GTS a month later, all 3 were 95s, the GTS is in the best shape though, it does a small rust hole in the trunk.

And have been Happy ever since. One thing I've noticed is at 3:05 in the Video it shows the Keyless entry, and it has the Running Mustang Logo on it, but over the Years I've noticed some SN-95's that have the Logo & some don't. I've always wondered why some Mustangs had the Logo, and some didn't? And my 97 Cobra does have the Mustang Logo on the Keyless entry.

@@johncharlie3919 yea of course but go find a cobra fof a affordable price not saying it's a bad platform 4.6 needed more development before it could become a badass like the 4v. If the explorer still had 5.0 up until 2000 the mustang should have too. I've seen a stock bottom 5.0 with ported gt40 heads make more than a 4.6 2v all day for less money. Ford takes too long to go forward with the aftermarket vs everyone else. Again 03-04 cobra is a monster but the question is can you afford it at the end of the day and which one gives more bang for the buck. That's why I swapped my new edge when I blew the motor

They didn't give us back anything the coyote has absolutely NOTHING in common with windsor 5.0s outside of displacement. It is actually derived from that 4.6 you say you hate without that 4.6 there would be no coyote. The 4.6 motor has just as much/more potential than the old 5.0s did. Matter of fact with forged internals on both it may be capable of more power than the windsor because the windsor has a weak block. You have to have aftermarket block to reliably go past 500 or so rwhp not the case with the mod motors. Their blocks are much stronger ecspecially the teksid in the early 4v cars which are far superior to the windsor. All this talk down on mod motors is coming from people who don't have a clue what they are talking about and they just think 4.6 don't sound as good as 5.0 rolling off the tongue lol. In stock form even the npi 2v was as strong as the old 5.0 in stock form and they have just as much potential if not more so. They sound every bit as good as a pushrod many will say they sound even better. The new 5.0 is a direct descendent of the 4.6 mod motors and has nothing whatsoever to do with the old pushrod 5.0. So they never gave us "back" anything they just continued development of the mod motors and eventually became what the coyote is. The mod motors are great anyone who says otherwise is stuck in the mid to late 90s when the mod motor didn't have the support the old windsor did. Nowadays they can do great things.

@midnight347
@midnight347 3 жыл бұрын
The 4.6 was 215 horse and 285 torque and weighed less than a camaro. The 3.8 is actually closer in displacement to the 4.6 (.8 difference) than the 4.6 is to the lt1 and ls1 cars (1.1 difference). The early 2v was really choked from the factory and will really wake up with a ported pi top end and some aftermarket cams. A 4v 4.6 was a much better match up with those cars (quicker quicker lt1 just behind ls1) despite being at that same low displacement because they rev to 7k and aren't choked off like early 2v. Ford had just switched to the mod motors in performance cars they had alot to learn and figure out but the mod motor 2v was just as stout as the outgoing 5.0 and is as capable or even more so once modded. That 3.8 you speak of breathes alot better than an early 2v give the 2v the pi treatment the 3.8 won't hang with it. They had alot to learn and within 15 years we had the coyote that came from those original mod motors everyone hated. Ford finally gave it some compression and little more displacement and got it breathing with 4v heads and revving. It is amazing how far they advanced in 15 years. The hp literally almost doubled while displacement wasn't that much different. Can the ls say that? That would be like a 6.2 in 2011 making 600 up all motor from the factory compared to the 5.7 ls1 making 350 in the 90s. Gm had an advantage at that time when compared against a non 4v mustang but once Ford figured out the mod motors and added some tech it was game over.
