Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords of Kansas.
Kansas is a 1970s/80s progressive rock group that remains active and has released numerous albums simply dripping with great music, melodies, phrases, and pure artistic expression.
This lesson takes a look at a number of interesting chord-based moments hiding in their music, and this extends from their early period into some of their later music from the 1980s featuring the masterful guitar talents of Steve Morse.
This lesson contains several interesting chord ideas and progressions and will surely inspire and possibly influence those out there that are looking for some new chord ideas to tap into, along with establishing more of the "Chordplay" concept - which is to play around with some interesting chords and progressions and see what happens when you begin experimenting and mutating these songs and ideas. The next thing you know you'll be writing your own music and can eventually tap into the various textures/sounds that you prefer and like to hear.
