It's telling how the news is covering the protests where the police responded with violence like at Columbia, UT Austin, and Emory, but there's been very little news coverage of the protests at Princeton and Rutgers in NJ, where the police have given the protesters space and there's been no violence at all. Thank you for sharing the story about the university's response in North Carolina. It shows how some schools actually value their students.

I just want to say how proud and grateful I am to Seth and his writers and producers and staff that they were willing to say so much more than some of their peers on the matter.

That was Adam Mockler interviewing him, not attacking him. He's a solid kid doing great work, exposing these conspiracy theorists.

Correction Seth, Mike wasn't attacked by anyone in the parking lot, not even a pigeon. He was asked questions by a young youtuber who Mike hollered lies and insults at. I saw this before I saw Adam Mockler's interview with Lindell. Now that I saw how well the young fellow comported himself with Lindell trying to rile up a crowd around them I think the kid is very brave. More fearless than even a hungry pigeon.

Those bike locks are the EXACT SAME ones that the college themselves suggested students buy.

The CNN reporter spoke about the police mobilization at Columbia University. Imagine if the J6 insurrection was met with the same amount of force applied...

"Outside, well-armed, professional agitators came in to escalate the situation." Yeah, they're called cops.

Hearing Mike Johnson threaten to bring in the national guard, since that worked so well at Kent State. Seriously, do they have memory loss? That was within his lifetime even.

Boy, trying to compliment someone by referring to them as a bucket is just beyond the pail.

The way Seth and his writers can attack these serious issues head-on with intelligence and humor is just brilliant. On a day like today, it is much needed.

Seth Meyers has the best writers of any late night comedy politics show! And the delivery was impeccable as always - even better with the mistakes. Thank you for covering the protests so thoughtfully.

As a person who has a Jewish spouse, you are absolutely correct. All of those things should be true at the same time. These college kids should not be being shot at or arrested for practicing their constitutional right to protest. Whats happening in Gaza is horrible.

-School shootings? Police don't roll in like this. -Government insurrection? Police don't roll in like this. -Unarmed college kids peacefully protesting? Of course police roll in like this.

It's kind of disillusioning to see that news comedy programs are the only ones able to get news right in this day and age, but it only makes me happier than ever to be here watching this show.

Thank you Seth/Late Night, for making commentary on the protests as pertains to what the protests are about. All other media and late show content I have seen seems to have been treating the subject like it is radioactive, which is discouraging to see.

I remember years ago I was involved in a protest march. Almost everyone had the same few signs. It wasn't because someone was being paid. It was because a local man who ran a printing shop backed our cause and made the signs himself, free of charge, the night before.

Mike Lindell was talking about Adam Mockler “attacking” him in the parking lot. He has a great channel and he’s a super intelligent young man. He was simply debating Lindell and Lindell couldn’t keep up with that well spoken young man. I love that they used that clip!

Pillow guy gets his energy from his Methpipe

Columbia student here. In the span of two weeks, over 200 of my fellow peers, professors, and friends were arrested. I witnessed first hand my peers be shoved, beaten, and pinned to the ground by the police, who purposefully locked out the student press and medics, threatening them with arrest so there would be no witnesses/student media coverage. Campus now is so eerily desolate - there are barely any students left here, even less than winter break. No professors, doctors/nurses, or students living off campus are allowed. Many have lost their access to food and Columbia health services. I keep thinking to myself: what is a university without its students, its professors, its workers? They brought in an army of police officers to Columbia, but what is the use of an army if there are no students left? Seth, I’ve been watching your content for years and I want to deeply express my gratitude and appreciation to you and your team for the comedy you are able to bring in such dark times. I am barely coping right now, but it is videos like these that keep me afloat. I am sure I am not the only student that feels this. We appreciate you and all the hard work you put into this 💙 Edited to add: Thank you all for your kind, thoughtful replies. I deeply appreciate your support. Please do not praise me - I have faced nothing compared to my arrested classmates and professors. They are far more brave than I am. As many of you know, media has only been allowed into Columbia from the times between 2pm - 4pm. So there has been much misinformation. If you would like to keep up with what’s going on at Columbia, please look into student press organizations, such as Spec (articles), Bwog (small updates), or WKCR (live broadcast). These organizations are the only media that has 24/7 access to Columbia and therefore provide far more objective information as to what has been going on within the past 2 weeks. The reporter Lindell said was attacking him in the parking lot was Adam Mockler, who is a small gen Z guy who tries to use a pretty gentle approach when he deals with MAGA. He tried to just get Lindell to agree to some common sense stuff. It was the opposite of aggressive journalism.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Seth for having the back of the students protesting, and thank you for being critical of the police's violent response. There's not a lot of this happening in broadcast television right now, where it should be.

Thank you, Seth, for calling out the officials' line that there were "outside agitators" leading the protests. They've been using that line since the 1960s (i was there, i remember). It's a way to nullify the seriousness of the student protests. I'm disheartened that the media figures have accepted this line with very little pushback.

It's the absolutely 100% regular response of the media to make a protest story about the character and tactics of the protesters, and stay well away from the reason for the protest.

Thank you Seth for bringing some sense to the College Campus protests and putting them in perspective with that wonderful fella Bernie Sanders comments. Somewhere in the News in thge last few days I have seen a comment from some source of the US Government about critisising some action against protests elsewhere in the world. 'Glass Houses' and 'Stones' come to mind.

Seth, I also think it’s worthy to note the eerie timing of the campus protests right now when considering that the anniversary of the Kent State massacre is May 4th. Fifty four years ago this Saturday, four college students were killed and nine were wounded when the Ohio National Guard rushed in to quell protests over the Vietnam war. It’s hard not to see the parallel to what Eric Adam’s is escalating in New York.

I went to a May Day worker solidarity event at the Johns Hopkins encampment yesterday and it was amazing - very peaceful and a good amount of people from the community dropping off supplies and generally being supportive.

If history's shown us anything, calling police on protesting students at a university will always turn out well in the history books

Students ARE a College's CLIENTS. Like, imagine you're PAYING a corporation 60K year. A bunch of clients say "Hey, we don't like that you support the mass murder of children and war crimes, we don't want OUR MONEY going to that." Then they protest to be heard. The corporation calls the cops and the cops attack the clients of a business? This would happen with NO OTHER INDUSTRY.
