After hearing this recording of Trump a few times, I'm thinking he lost his focus. I think Trump got all excited and fell in love with the word 'terminated', (maybe it has a similar ring to it, like "You're fired!"), and so he just kept using it to describe the next thing he talked about: the emails. Yes, those two FBI employees were indeed terminated, but those emails occurred earlier in the plot line, not *after* the termination. Yes, their termination was actually the punch line, not the 'termination' of the emails. Maybe he was getting interference from memories of chants about "Hillary's emails". Sorry to belabor this, but this is just really sad.
