Firstly - This isn't part of the main series as this build is unlikely to ever be used there and honestly It was just a derpy video I recorded for the sake of doing something whilst unable to sleep. Secondly.. (Copy and pasted from the last video): I've been taking the last few days a bit slow to help with my own health and general well-being which is why there has been a lack of videos and variety in those videos - Expect Terratech, Stellaris, Kingdoms & castles and such to all be back to normal upload schedules somewhat soon but for now I just need to take some time to ensure I don't go completely insane! Hope you all understand, and enjoy the video! :D

They say that before the universe, there was Derp Lord. This merciful being was alone in an empty void, with nothing to be seen. So, it decided to create the universe. First, it shot many Cannon Balls to create the foundations for all the planet's and comets and asteroids of our universe, and when it had done that, it cast off parts of its massive Coal Stores, to leave fuel for the stars that bring light to everywhere. Second, it let some of its Crew off to the many new worlds, where they quickly settled and created Life. Having accomplished what it had hoped to, The Derp Lord tore a hole through the galaxy and left to create life elsewhere, but finally it left behind a piece of its impenetrable shell, to guard the young universe from any who would threaten it, and so that it's future inhabitants may remember how Everything came into being. Hope you all like the lore!

Explosive modules have to fall below a certain HP threshold before they have a chance to explode. So increasing their Health Pool should prevent them from exploding.

See if you can make a spider walker that has a listed speed of over the speed of sound (1,200-something KPH). See how fast it moves on the map view, compared to how fast it moves in battle.

Use Gatlings, AA and maybe even some spaces between the Keels for suspendium chambers and more turrets? Yes I'm giving advise to upgrade a completely satirical machine. (I really hope you see this, this should become the god of slow decay)

I know that this is a PoC, but if it could have been built to muster more firepower~ sacrificing a few keels would have made an absolute monster out of the thing. Like replacing two of the heavy turrets with imperial cannons and a canopy of deck guns and flack. Also, burrowing some crew and ammo in the keel carapace could have allowed the top to be bolstered with insane volumes of firepower. As lath said this concept had, and still has huge potential.

So justa thought. Could you make a huge turtle like this but put giant keels on the front of the craft then just ram into enemys and kill them without really losing any blocks?? Maybe make a huge blimp with the same idea? Just a ramming vehicle with keels on the front

I have a really stupid idea. Get a heavy air vehicle and put the mega rams on the bottom of them. Therefore, just bring them on top of others and send them straight down. The normal, lighter vehicles did massive damage when falling, imagine what that will do. I think it will be a stupid, derpy, fun yet effective craft.

I have some Lore for the Derp Lord So basically it is a transport used for bringing the tree trunks to shipyards for use in the capital ships/ any other ships with giant keels. The guns are to protect itself from ambushes as it travels from the inland forests to the massive shipyards of your glorious capital!

One of the mods adds a vertical keel version of those, in my experience building wide just leads to losses as the ai likes to sit over you when you kill them and their falling ships cut through heavy armour like butter

Lath you have to call it the "DerpEetle" (deep beetle), also it has a very special mode of defence where it burrows into the ground so that most of its exposed body is the extremely hard shell.

Been watching this playthrough and you might want to consider a small craft that you can use to drop marines close to defensive buildings when your on the attack. It would be a similar construction as the Zeolot with less or no weapons.

Imagine being a soldier running into battle and you see that Goliath walking through every defense and killing everything that try’s to stop it and then it falls through the ground due to its weight and squashing everything under it even tanks without much slow down

Another effect of that many keels, is that as far as I know, the way the game targets modules is entirely random, so by having that many keels you are decreasing the chance that the enemy will fire at something actually useful, like you know, a bridge or ammo storage.

Opportunities to load the rear some flamethrowers or extra set of cannons or torpedoes for literal combat role flips. Gets nasty if the keels are on fire.

I'm thinking you should redesign this thing as a "land battleship". A couple of heavy turrets forward. One heavy turret aft. Assorted lighter guns and anti-aircraft weapons down the length. A big ram in front to bull through enemy walkers. Keels between decks to add durability. Decks sandwiched between keels containing crew, ammo, coal, etc. Brutality no matter what the enemy tries.

I think if you wanted to destroy the derp lord, you could just drop a couple of aircraft on top of it. Not sure why, but it seems like carcasses shred other vehicles

You can just build a downward rammer to counter it to kill it quickly. also if you place 1 cannon on it, ai rocketeers and plane carriers try to avoid the cannon by flying lower then you. A nice way to position above and ram them down :).
