I want to thank you for your explanations on water control. I am new to watercolor (just started a couple of years ago) and have watched multiple KZfaq videos from multiple artist/teachers. All have said you 'need to control your water' but none have explained what that means - they just kept saying it. You came up as a suggestion on my feed a couple of weeks ago and I started watching your videos - a) you have a fantastic, natural, very comfortable teaching style, b) you are quite good at explaining what you are doing and why, and c) you explain what water control is, in a very understandable way! It has helped so much to understand brush wetness to paper wetness ratios to control blossoms and being able to control the results. My abilities/results have improved immensely since I have started watching your videos - I am so grateful! Thank you. I haven't been able to catch a live version (California time, so getting ready and driving to work) but wanted to just let you know that what you do has great value to those of us who are trying to learn this medium. You are a very skilled artist - and you are a phenomenal teacher!

The dishes look super shiny! The extra shadows really give a lot of realism to this I think. You hardly ever have just one light source. You may have overhead, a window, a lamp, television all at one time. All in all, it looks yummy. 💕
