Would agree with you to on Homage watches, some brands such as Steinhart do really great pieces in and around the same price as a "good" fake. Plenty of good genuine watches to be had for reasonable money too, Stowa, Lack and Hamilton and so on. Enjoyed it, subbed and look forward to watching more.

Its a well-known secret in the watch industry. There are watches out there with serial numbers identical to the originals. Only Ziarex has the real deal, and thats no secret.

There's some unbelievably good super clones out there. So good in fact you couldn't tell the difference at all until you look at lettering/brushing ect. Through a microscope. And when you take into consideration spending 200,000 dollars vs spending 500- 900$ for a top tier super clone that is impossible to distinguish from the original. There's no way I could ever justify spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, not for microscopic differences impossible to detect with the naked eye lol.

I used to Buy fake watches to visualize having a real one. Anything in life I have to visualize it before I get it and having a fake watch on your wrist is a good visualization technique to getting what you want. After the last Solana Pump I now own a Oyster Rolex.

A lot of people couldn’t care less about what watch enthusiasts think of fakes and that doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I enjoy authentic watches but feel zero animosity towards someone who maintains certain brands almost cry out to be copied by offering particularly poor value for easily mass produced goods and the disdain with which they treat potential consumers.

I personally would rather wear a fake AP then a cheap watch brand. I have a real Rolex and I never wear it because people either say it’s fake or try to borrow it 😂

Regarding replicas they enable people to get close to and promote a design,people buy prints of artwork not just the original,I could never afford an AP watch but a replica enables me to get closer to the design, I am not concerned as much of it being damaged either, and lastly it was due to seeing an AP replica being offered for sale that I actually first heard of the AP company and think that they are awesome.

As a young chap I wore a fake Panerai Luminor. I loved that thing! It lasted four years before it broke from roughhousing. For my $20 purchase price it had a tremendous ROI. That watch made me dream of all the real watches I would own once I started a professional career. And it worked. It doesn't justify the contributing to intellectual property thief, but I understand why someone would buy a fake. BTW, my favorite watch that I own today is a Royal Oak jumbo. It is very much real unlike the subject in this video🙂.
