BMW just launched the new 2024 BMW R1300 GS, is it what you expected or has the slimmed down looks put you off what is today the best selling adventure motorcycle ? Sad how some people have to attack people for the bike they choose. It's too expensive... for me. Fair play to those that can afford it. I'd definitely have one if I could. It's beautiful and I hope I get to at least see one IRL.

Honestly, I like it. Lighter, more powerful. Gearbox under the engine. Its a completely new bike. Think they've been bold with that headlight design. Be interested how all the journalists rate it compared to the Triumph Tiger 1200

Nice to see a refreshed new bike, like most I bet they look better in the flesh and take some getting used to. Let’s face it we both have had MT10. I remember seeing online and said omg how ugly then looked at one and loved it 🤣🤣

Let’s be honest, the substantial weight loss on any of these oversized, super heavy bikes is welcomed. Dare I say it may change the landscape of future ADV motorcycle design. Nobody wants to be the fat kid. But what will the slimmer design do for wind coverage during long days in the saddle? 🤔 Like it or hate it, BMW made us all dreamers, some more outgoing and capable than others albeit. Which they definitely deserve a thank you for. P.S. I’ll be keeping my Tiger Rally Pro ❤

For me, Spec wise - fantastic, looks wise, no so much. It feels a bit like Zues has come down to mingle with the lesser Gods. It'll be a roaring success of course.

Been a great series. A bit different from the usual loads of bike footage which I do enjoy. But this has been a welcome change listening to your thoughts on your walks etc off the bike. Great stuff. You are the unluckiest person for finding places closed though. 😂

Definitely not a fan of the integrated turn signals in the hand guards. If you're actually using the bike as an adventure bike, every drop is going to cost you $$$ They managed to make it 6 pounds lighter than the Triumph. Cool, but not worthy of popping any champagne open. The increased power is terrific. Adventure bikes need torque and this will deliver. And, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to miss the Forest Whitaker look of the old front end. This new headlight isn't doing the bike any favours. Lastly, I'm very interested in not only the price point, but to see if they'll have subscription s for options, like KTM is doing. 🤔

You can see we’re they got the design from it’s trying to be a triumph tiger it’s a shame it’s got a tractor engine and a stupid headlight design there is one nice thing they have got rid off the snap on tool boxes and the zimmer frame

4.8 l per 100 kms. It's the lightest and most fuel efficient of all the premium, big bore adventure bikes...not by a huge margin though. The Triumph and BMW are very similar in both of those categories.

Slimmed down - but still far too big, too heavy, and too expensive. But will still sell in great numbers as lots of riders can't see past it and buy something else. And still living off the Dakar wins of 30-40 years ago.

Is it still the best Adventure Bike ? Lets just look at that a little bit. Its not the fastest, most powerful, comfortable, best handling, lightest, reliable or best looking! What it is is the best selling and thats not the same.

Yaaaay a Duschcati BMW !!! A power dirt bike without the “reliability” of a KTM🤣🤣🤣🤣 BMW GS was the bike that everyone wanted to be like from KTM to now the laughable Pan America by Harley… Now BMW wants to be like them the so ons in and the last in sales in the world… Why?!

What an ugly bike. BMW has just destroyed a legend. If I want a China bowl, I buy a Vstrom or Yamaha but not a BMW. I waited a season to buy a GS, but now it will probably be a Triumph 1200 Tiger Rally Explorer.

Maybe that's a fair point but I cant see all GS owners who don't currently own the GSA holding out for that the only way I can see them doing that is dealers giving horrendous trade in prices to try and keep their profit margin up. ATB@@MOTOUK1
