Next 3 episodes are the first short arc. Very intense story. The story is like that. Episodes that are more character focused, then an arc will start. The arcs take multiple episodes in the same location. While a lot of time and miles can pass during the slower more character driven episodes that take place. The episodes that are character driven are usually two part episodes. With two short stories. But the arcs get longer as they travel north into more dangerous territory. And this place they just left is the narrow border between the southern and northern continents. Trade with the south is fine and safe. It's only trade with the northern continent that is cut off from the southern continent.
