5:38 i don't think this is necessarily the rule. Or it is one, but maybe i am exception to it: grew up in a loving and well organized family, alhamdulillah. Had a beautiful childhood, was given love from my parents and what taught religion, in theory and practice. Was part of an active community, sang in the choir, enjoyed church a lot. But growing up, i started to read more the bible and the history of the church. That's where i could not convince myself the teaching of (today's) church were true. Then i was ready to learn about Prophet Muhammad (sas) and Islam. I quickly realised, this is the truth and embraces it. Alhamdulillah.

When I first watched Lauren's first video about her journey to Islam, every word was touching my heart. The conversation she had with the Palastinian poor woman who was fasting never left my head. Secondly, being Somali, the jokes she used get from the Somali drivers in London, "Are you married? 😆" always sits at the back of my memory. Lastly, I remember watching that very first video so many times loving to hear the story again and again. What is more interesting is that when I saw this video my plan was to see the introduction and leave since I was some other work to do. However, when I started watching I couldn't stop till the end. Masha Allah Tabarakallah! May Allah keep you both and all of us on the right path and make our final destination in the Jannah with our beloved prophets and the good generations that have passed before us and those who will come after us as well.
