Might have something to do with her beginning. Wikipedia says: Lake was born in Detroit, Michigan [6] to parents who had "very particular expectations" for their daughter's future; in her words, "These were Black people who fought their way through, one Ph.D. at a time, so they were big on education."[7] Growing up, Lake sang, danced, and acted in plays. Her parents agreed to allow this as long as she kept up with her studies.[7] Lake attended Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and was honored as a National Merit Scholar in 1986.[8] In May 1990, Lake earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She earned a secondary teacher certification that same year. In May 1993, Lake earned a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan.[9]

That woman is SO fake. Try finding someone worthwhile to moon over. She sees people practically on the verge of collapse and gives them the answer they want before saying "not" seconds later. She made one grandmother practically have a heart attack while waiting. She pretended to howl over the lot of a kid and her "crying" was so fake, it was hysterically funny.

It’s the prayer for me. You unequivocally has a prayer closet. You don’t walk in this gift without having a prayer life. You are beyond amazing! Your realness and tact though. Your balance between love and correction is remarkable. I want just want the opportunity to meet you one day. Am so proud of her. She is my daughter's inspiration. She may not know the positive impact she has on my family all the way from Kajiado, kenya where women are looked down upon. I first watched her on a friends phone n nowadays we watch as many episodes as the data can allow. She is strict, religious and humane. We never imagined she'd smile...now we know that yes,We can. "One day i will start a paternity court when I grow up". Those are words she says daily. God bless you so much your honour. Thank YOU.

I am such a fan, I record every episode! She is so classy and a wonderful representation of a strong black woman. I don't look up to many, but her tact is such an example of knowing what to say or not say. The folks who are usually on her show, there's much that could be said but she always takes the kinder approach. She is the most non-judgmental judge on television, a true class act! She's my mentor and she doesn't even know it; on my list of people I hope to meet some day. Keep up the great work my sista!

Never seen a woman so informed, formed and transformed with humility and compassionate like judge Lauren ,She uses her vast knowledge and experience to deliver a comforting rulings that is acceptable to both searching for answers, her determination to get to the bottom of any issue is fascinating, Jerome can attest to it,Jerome!!!. Does anybody else remember Judge Lake before she was a judge? She was a recurring guest/consultant on the Ricki Lake Show. She also sang back up on several tracks in the 90's for Diddy to help pay her way through college! Love this woman!! Great inspiration!!

Our case was Ariel Jackson vs Dominique Chaplin we filmed last Jun / Jul 2018 I was the mom my son had a baby with a young lady i called my friend. They both was wrong in my eyes no morals in my eyes. The baby was his. I wanted ( Danna) to confirm before i got involved. ( Dana is DNA ) She never lies its in the blood. We was called to do a follow up on her new project but my son wouldn't cooperate again to ease THEIR DRAMA . he moved on he just want to be in his baby life. But the Baby Mama want him. So she holding the baby away. Truth is she's hurting her baby by trying to HURT him but im not surprised. HE SHOULD HAVE ASKED ME BEFORE EVEN TOUCHING HER. THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR BEING HOT & STUPID. NOW HE GOT BABY MAMA DRAMA. I WANT NO PART OF IT. THEY DIDNT ASK ME BEFORE THEY MADE SUCH A MISTAKE. MY ADVICE NOW IS WORK IT OUT WITHOUT ME. IM JUST HER NANA.THE BABY WILL HEAR ABOUT ME AN FIND ME IM SURE WHEN SHE'S OL DER.

@@robinsonvernita I can sympathize...as we get older it's not that we dont care but we know what we can and cant involve ourselves in...my daughter took my grandson from me for 2 months and I felt that pain every day...now he tells me " you lost me Nena" and I just say never again baby...good luck to you and yours
