I’m fair and yellow and my brother is darker and olive, we both have hazel eyes but his hair is darker than mine...my mother is fair w light hair and green eyes and her sister was darker skinned w dark hair and eyes...my father and his one sister are dark olive w black hair and eyes and their other sister is fair and yellow (like me) w reddish brown hair and brown eyes. Etc etc etc...everyone is different and everyone is beautiful and I love that we can all have all different color skin no matter where or who we come from or what we are bc we’re all different and special and we’re all beloved children of the earth. The term is known as projection-- Notably, I was dating a guy who constantly accused me of cheating (despite the fact I was not). It was not about projection, it was because he was insecure and felt that I could find someone else that was better looking, financially stable, etc. So, why was I with him? It was an extremely toxic relationship, that I'm glad is over.

You're correct. My sister has 5 kids with her husband. They're both a medium brown skin tone. And one son is dark like Micheal Jordan, and another son looks like Steph Curry.

Bc he was locked up. IKR?! I was so scared of having my baby switched at birth (for no reason, just irrational pregnancy fears), but I was thankful that my baby's father reassured me that he would have the baby in sight at all times until I was out of the surgery room. And he did. I couldn't imagine living with that fear not one more day. Shame on this man for making her feel like that.

I am a registered nurse and you have to look at generations between both of them because somewhere along the line there could have been lighter skin black people in either the biological mother or the biological father's family that could have caused the baby to be lighter. I lived in a house for 9 years. Alone with my two children. My landlord was a happily married man. He developed a relationship with my son. He taught him how to do repairs around the house and paid him for his work. We never had any type of relationship, other than landlord tenant.

I had a lady with 2 kids renting from me for 4 years and after sheet got rid of her abusive husband she needed as much help as she could to get on her feet cause he was the soul provider I told her she was to not worry rent for a few months me an my son's mother ( I say that cause we're friends an not together ) got her son into sports an my son's mom would watch her daughter until she was able to pay for day care . Their are men or there that do believe in helping women with no strings . I was single at the time but didn't want anything from her but a friend ship an to watch her kids grow up an do the right things in life .I would do it all over again .

Genetics are a funny thing. My late husband was German, and he looked it, with green eyes and very light skin. I am Asian, Arab, Jewish and Irish. I have very dark hair and eyes, but light skin and look like I am obviously part Asian. Our son is brown skinned, black hair and eyes and looks almost completely Arab, but has somewhat Asian eyes. The rest of his facial features look almost exactly like his father, except that he is much darker. I used to get asked if his father was dark skinned, but people were surprised when I told them his father was lighter than me. You never know how the genes will mix up, but you love your child no matter what they look like.

My landlord would do the same thing for me. He would help put furniture together also. He’s married and I’m in a relationship. He’s known my baby since before she was born and they share a very strong connection. She loves our landlord and he plays with her and now I am pregnant again. Their father works 12-15 hours a day and he not ever question me and the landlord. I am there every month to pay the rent.
