We update and tizz up a video we made about Broome back in 2011-13. Having just been there, It is still relevant. And it's a much better quality video ... promise ...

The rot set in when they stopped the siesta time, when the whole town would come together and socialise every day. Now the whole town is full of invisible faces, and people that walk around looking at the ground. The respect acknowledgement of each other is gone, plus my supervisor tried to rape me in front of my work mates, and my boss thought it was funny, it's not over yet. That is why (Mick Dundee ) got out of that out of control place.

Just saw the japanese cemetery, and noticed that you did not show the destroyed, defaced and vandalised graves, or the cemetery at town beach that spewed coffins and graves into the ocean( that no one was allowed to repair)or the sand that was washed away from cable beach that had to be replaced, but no machinery to be used. Sorry but the wrong people are running broome.

G'day Graeme. I filmed the Japanese Cemetery segment of this film in 2013 and saw no desecration at that time. If I had, I certainly would have made comment. As for your other points, I know nothing of them. The video is a record of what I saw on a number of trips into the town over the years. Subsequent to 2013, I have basically camped at Roebuck Plains and shopped at Broome. I did spend a day just driving and food shopping in 2021. Thanks for commenting. Your thoughts are appreciated.
