Since the main Lauterbrunnen valley is a no-fly-zone, we chose to follow the Mattenbach falls which is on the edge of the zone. Coincidentally it is one of my favourite falls in Lauterbrunnen. This six-stage, 1.2km high waterfalls - a little removed from the public eye is an attraction of its own. I have often wondered what lies beyond at the back of the falls where the water is calm and peaceful before it plunges into the majestic Lauterbrunnen valley. What we discovered up there was as surprising as it was mesmerizing. Please come on board for this little journey of discovery as we present Lauterbrunnen the way only a handful have experienced.
