I mean, it was said earlier on in the game that there were men in black suits who stole Wakaba’s research, made a copy of said research, destroyed the original copy, forged a fake sudicide note to be read to Futaba, and got away with it. Those men were SHIDO’S men, who did all that, and Akechi orchestrated the killing. I mean, the methods were the same every. Single. Time.

@@LittleBigPlanetian He could most likely peice it together himself, considering that (as a Wild Card persona user) he likely would've visited the Velvet room at least once to interact with the fake Igor. Though that may have been years ago at this point. What's cool is that he doesn't ask about her, because to him, it doesn't really matter. He probably deduced from her interacrions with the others that she's some sort of supernatural entity that's allied with Joker, and can provide them information on Maruki. No need to waste tike asking her who she is when it won't change anything.

From some google searching that height is the average for a 5-6 year old, so yeah while she may look like a loli as she clearly doesn't look like a 5 year old, her height is below it what you would usually consider a loli.

While I am very late I will shed some light on this. It is actually entirely possible that the thieves den -which to my knowledge is effectively joker's palace- could exist. Joker has the ability to change personas at will similar to the other wild cards. In the P4 animation it was made clear that yu's shadow had not yet been subdued while still being able to summon personas. Joker may be of a similar cloth though what thread he is exactly I can not determine. As for futaba as people pointed out before that was a temporary thing that lost its stability after she had left and stolen the "treasure". The only other anomalies in this world at this point that could have shadows/palaces would be maruki -who is clearly confirmed- and akechi -Who likely due to the fact that he truly sees the world for the shit stain it is doesn't have a palace with a "warped cognition"-. Maruki however...he may have become aware of his palace and used his power to effectively stabilize and cement it despite having a persona. His view of reality or at least how it should be IS warped...it's entirely possible that up until he truly awoke his shadow was in the palace perhaps his powers at the time before didn't come from a persona but rather a shadow. After his awakening he could effectively do as he wished including keeping mementos and his palace in such a way he could utilize it.

There's no simple answer for this, but the fact is that Maruki still made the choice for billions of people to live reality as HE dictates. He definitely means well, but he seems to look down on those who do not share his desire to put an end to tragedy for all humanity, treating such people like petulant children. It's subtle, but Maruki can be almost as tyrannical and insane as Yaldabaoth in his own way, driven by the tragedy of his past.

Exactly. Funnily enough, that's always the downfall for "good guy" antagonists; they have their heads so far up in the ideal of happiness that they forget that's just *one* aspect of humanity's growth. Joy, pain, hope, anger, sadness, love... They *all* make up our personal growth. Take everything away and leave only *one* part, and you just have stagnant dolls. Sure they're happy, but that's *all* they are and nothing more. Even having the best intentions won't change that.

Yeah I was on the fence with what Maruki was doing, like I can GENUINELY understand why someone like him would do this kind of thing. I get the world is cruel and unfair and people will have bad experiences or feeling like a day in hell constantly. Trying to give someone the “ultimate happiness” when they are at their lowest when you yourself are at your lowest already is a selfless act indeed. But when you consider the fact he is essentially brainwashing people into basically running from their problems, basically putting on a mask that “Everything is Okay, Nothing is wrong in my life”, making people forget who they truly are, THAT is what stopped me from almost agreeing with Maruki. Akechi really said it best when he called that twisted reality “absolutely revolting” and made me furious after what he put poor Sumire through with her trauma of losing Kasumi in that accident by trying to convince her that BECOMING Kasumi was the way to live life and essentially “kill” Sumire in the process. That was NOT the right choice for Sumire as it almost caused her to forget who she truly was and essentially run from the truth that to an extent, it was her fault from what happened with Kasumi. But she eventually learned to grow as Sumire due to her properly grieving for Kasumi in a healthy way thanks to Joker and the rest of the phantom thieves and move on in life while BEING Sumire and remembering Kasumi. That is how we all should strive for our own happiness in life instead of how Akechi said it best “What good is it living out a reality concocted by someone else? I say… none.”

I do not hate Akechi as I hate Adachi, at least Akechi changed. I usually do not care about the actions or how was a person in the past, but for me, he is unforgivable. Oh, and Sakamoto is just a good boy, he wants to keep people close.

I really don't know how to feel about her tbh, she seems like a nice character, but honestly, don't seem to add much to the game at all. Especially compared to Maruki, who's a very good inclusion to the game's plot. Atlus is infamous for adding unnecessary new "female" characters to their remakes, but I feel Kasumi is the worst case of this.

@@Jardrin Considering her whole situation deals with cognition, I wouldn't say she doesn't add anything to the game imo; her situation, and what Maruki does, expands upon the lore in ways we haven't seen before. Not to mention, compared to Marie's normal Confidant/sudden inclusion in the new endgame with little foreshadowing, Kasumi/Sumire's is a lot more natural and has a ton of foreshadowing... and also, while crushing on the MC, her romance path is completely optional rather than something passed off as a psuedo-canon one. Plus, her situation is 'extremely' similar to a Doppelganger demon from Persona's parent franchise, which is a nice mythology gag all on it's own. Compared to Marie, another Velvet Room attendant who was there... just because really :P

But if you have the potential, you experience the Dark Hour like any other hour of the day, and Shadows don't gang up on you and make you become a black goo. You could say that Sees were always destined to have their Personas, but only managed to awake to them with the help of the Dark Hour and the Evokers.

You were partially right - Maruki had a persona, which was corrupted by Yaldabaoth to become Azathoth - otherwise known as the "Blind Idiot God" and a sign of primordial chaos

It's hard to argue whether Adachi's persona is even his own. Adachi has the same persona as Yu, except his persona is corrupted - Magatsu Izanagi is a reference to when Izanagi became corrupted after failing to save Izanami in hell, and some of the bosses you fight are based off of the demons that came off of Izanagi when he cleaned himself from the corruption. I'm not sure though whether Namatame had borrowed a persona of his own, or if he only inherited the TV ability. If he had his own persona it'd probably be another Izanagi... Yu has the power of the wild card, but it's unknown if this is Izanami's fault or if it was always within him. Yu really made his Izanagi his own, when it became Izanagi-no-Okami.

@@tipsy634 well I disagree, Izanami gave the power of Izanagi to 3 people, representing evil (Adachi) hope (Yu) and despair (Namatame), in other words, it was Izanami's fault to give Yu Myriad truths basically, and the other 2 are the Sagiri that controlled the other Izanagis, and Igor is the one at fault for the wild card, since the attendant has nothing to do with the Velvet bois (except Marie)

They knew he was up to something the second they met him because of the pancake comment. Do not forget that he shot their leader on the forehead and wanted to hunt them down afterwards. Akechi may have had a messed up past but that does not mean he deserves any more warmth within the group than he was given.

I mean, would YOU be willing to let someone rejoin your group after they legit tried to shoot your best friend/lover square in the head with open arms? Probably not, but if it’s a means to an end at the very least we can “tolerate” them rejoining the group.

@@leohernandez8751 actually I would, depending on that person's back ground and I would definitely if it was Akechi. Akechi wasn't a completely evil person, he felt bad for what he done and believed they should all hate him. From the age of 14-15 he was manipulated and used by Shido to act out the mental shutdowns, he's a victim just like all the others. I was just saying it was nice to see them be a little warmer towards him since in Sae's palace they just treat him like a nuisance. It was nice because everyone realises what he done was bad but that he is just like them a victim and instead of being cold or rude their tolerant when they could all very easily be rude to him.

They did know, it's confirmed in the game when Akechi asked about the pancakes morgana was talking about but he didn't know it was morgana that spoke so he ended up slipping up

@@yeet_minister It was only joker and Morgana that noticed that slip up and then they later told Futaba. Not everyone was aware of it at 1st, plus that isn't even the reason they were all so hostile towards him in Saes Palace it was because they all didn't like that he was against the phantom thieves.

Neither is Lavenza. It's probably cause those two were the only one's present that played no hand in Maruki's rise to power, so they weren't momentarily distracted from the goal at hand. To them, Joker was basically just saying what they all had been the entire conversation. Also, Lavenza and Akechi both have a much deeper and unique bond with Joker when compared to most of the cast, and likely know him well enough to understand that his focus wouldn't be so easily disuaded.
