I don't know about this law. When you do or try anything, there is a high possibility that you will mess up, embarrass yourself and piss people off at some point. There is also a saying "no such thing as bad press" and Robert Greene also has a law in which he says courting attention at all costs is crucial. A lot of celebs and companies have bounced back from a big mistake that could have ended their career. So all of these laws can't be applied all of the time.

Fun Fact. There is a verse in the Christian Bible that says the same this. Not sure it's the book of Proverbs or Ecclesiastes.
