ABOUT LAW & ORDER SVU
As acting commander of the SVU, Lt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) leads with empathy and professionalism, all the while dealing with her difficult past, which influences the way she relates to the victims and perpetrators of each case. As Benson’s second-in-command, Sgt. Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice T) adds a unique sense of humor and undercover investigative experience. Det. Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) has earned her place as an integral part of the team, Det. I know that feeling, my grandmother was a big fan of these crime drama shows like Law and order, CSI, Bones, Criminal Minds, NCIS, etc. She used to watch them all the time, some of the best memories I have of her are watching her shows with her, and talking about the. Now that she's gone, I hope she's still enjoying her shows in heaven. RIP Grandma, I'm really gonna miss you

This song played so, so much for me as a kid. I was so weirded out by why it kept playing so much but I just always liked this tune that played. Sometimes I even paused my TV from the other room just to listen to part of it (and then try to play off the fact that I was listening). Just one of those memories that stay BURNED in your brain, but are still welcome to stay around.

I used to watch PBS kids, and this show would trun on right after cartoons were finished at 5pm. Some of the extreme stuff (shooting, murdering, etc.) taught me most of what I know today. This beat holds so much nostalgia😭

Lots of greatness packed into 44 seconds. Of all the L&O theme songs, this is my favorite. That "wah-wooow" guitar at the end is epic. As long as NBC keeps SVU going, I'll keep watching. Season 21's fall finale was great... one wild cliffhanger there. I can't wait for Jan 9.

This theme is the ultimate mood for me. I remember waking up in the early morning multiple times a day a kid when the sun was rising and I had a nightmare so I was snuggled in between my mom and dad and I'd somehow always wake up to this theme.

There are many musical themes from series that mark an era such as Hawaii 5-0, SWAT, Mary Tyler Moore, The Waltons, and more recently Blue Blood, Chicado PD, but Law & Order for me is unsurpassed. I wish the channel luck and success, and receive a hug from the people of Brazil, who love North American series ❤❤❤

When I was single and working at a medical job that required me to take some work home, I used to hang out at a friend’s house who watched this while I did my notes for work. I would do my work and then fall asleep to this theme song in his big recliner, and he’d eventually go up to bed after a bunch of episodes. I’d wake up in the morning and go back home and then to work. My life was pretty fun, and I was free to go anywhere and do anything I wanted. Fast forward 6-ish years, and I’m now in an unhappy marriage and having to make some tough decisions. Just came to hear this song and feel the freedom and carelessness I used to feel. Hoping it would motivate me to leave my situation once and for all and find myself again.

@@elliehopkins9995 Thank you! I signed my divorce agreement last week, and my soon-to-be-ex signed it today! I’m in a MUCH happier place! New career (more money, better everything), new town, lots of time for friends, and going on a date with a guy this weekend - with my heart open but my antennae up and ready to detect any red flag issues. Thanks again for your message! ❤️ Oh, and by the way, I just started running again and ran my first 5K in YEARS! I did awesome and won the Master’s award (beat all the runners over 40). I’m 48, so it’s not an easy feat. :) I got 4th overall but hadn’t even really trained. I’m hoping to win lots more awards as I get in better shape.

I'll admit it, I'm only 11 and my mom has been watching this show for over 20 years, and I'm happy to see myself watching the shower more often and really engaged in this show. Because my mom has been watching for my whole childhood, this is just engraved in my mind as a treasury, and I hope when i get older I'm able to pass on this show, and it is apart of my childhood. Miss Elliot and sad to see rollins leaving. Barba was great aswell.

I live in a rehabilitation center in Chicagoland. I am not a "Boob Tube" watcher myself, but I would hear this intriguing clarinet tune coming from down the hall every morning. I’ve just started watching SVU and I have to say it is an amazing show. In fact, Law and Order is one of my most favourite shows ever. I’m more of a TV show person and along with L&O, I also watch NCIS and FBI. P.S. I found the One Chicago shows to be decent.
