With the release of The Jinx Part 2 let's take a look back at the Robert Durst Trial. LIVE TRIAL: CA v. Robert Durst Murder Trial - Murder of Friend Susan Berman
Witnesses:
Robert Durst stands trial for the 2000 murder of friend Susan Berman. The trial began just before the pandemic in early 2020 and was halted two weeks in. The restart happened on May 17, 2021, with the same jury panel.
The defendant’s wife Kathleen McCormack Durst went missing in 1982. Evidence and testimony would show that Robert Durst killed her, the prosecutor said. The defendant allegedly told Berman it was an accident and asked her for help. She served as his alibi.
Berman, 55, was shot execution-style at her Beverly Hills home in 2000, and the prosecution suggested that it was because of what she knew about Kathleen’s death and disappearance. As defense lawyer Dick DeGuerin would have it, however, Durst is innocent. His client only came across the body, panicked, and fled, he maintained.

Lewin and the Judge have my greatest respect. Awesome prosecutor who is running circles around the whiny defense lawyers and a smart and strong Judge are a pleasure to watch

I know many find the charge conf & jury instructions boring. But it’s one of the most imp parts of a trial. Errors in jury trials are the #1 cause of reversal of convictions on appeal.

This defense is so corrupt it's downright pathetic how they keep wanting a mistrial to keep Robert durst out of prison were he belongs he's an old murderer there's nothing dumb about him he knows what he's doing he's just playing along I think this judge to stop hearing all of these false claims by the defense and move this case right along so the jury can make a decision

Does anyone remember the case of the Woman who was set on fire by her boyfriend and on her deathbed had to testify!! And passed away 1 month or so later. MONEY TALKS the richer you are the more the lawyers are paid to bend over backwards for the Murderer. Case In Point DURST

I’ve seen 6 ads at the 10 min mark. I’m all for supporting the channel making money, but this is ridiculous. Ads every 2-3mins on a 1.5hr video!?

Carnivore the killer He murdered, dismembered, and dumped into The Ocean, His “Friend” (if I recall correctly named Morris (?), while He was living in Galveston under the guise (and disguise) of a (quite unattractive) Female. I don’t know why He hasn’t received a Death Sentence for His EVIL ways. His Defense Attorneys are truly slipping (perhaps due to Age and inflated Egos). You may want to research further…quite interesting in My Opinion.

It’s ok for people to comment about the level and frequency of advertising. On any other free platform (eg Spotify, tv channels, etc) there is an established level of advertising that feels acceptable - eg 3 ads every 15 mins, etc. On this video there is a 3-10min ad (if you dont skip) every 3 minutes, which feels very out of balance with standard practise. People are entitled to comment on this!

@@gena7219 DeGeurin still seems sharp and in good form, the issue is the client has really tied their hands with his interviews and statements and behavior. it is making their job nearly impossible and these experts they have put on have just hurt the case and have zero credibility with their $500+ an hour rates to say anything. Watch the judge destroy Dr. Klein in denying the mistrial. And this memory expert has no memory.
