As a terran, on maps with close islands to start location, I would lift my CC right off the bat and settle on an island, then develop aerial army while not being bothered by the others warfares.

Starting from zero SCVs? It will take you 3-4 mins to even get back to the starting scv count.

Cool idea casting an FFA. Would have loved to see Dark Archon mind control a drone or scv to start 200 extra supply with another race. It's the ultimate winning strategy for FFA.

My favorite FFA map is killing fields. I used to host FFA matches sooooo much. Got soo good at the map I won’t pretty much everytime even playing random. Best thing you can do is to make units rather than a traditional defense at the start and have that as your defense with 2-3 cannons/sunkens/bunkers as an amplifier if that makes sense. There was also this dude in US West server named “SCpsyOPS” that was TRASH at the game. He would host FFA on this map every night and I was perma banned and my buddy so we would make alt accounts would to smurf into his games just to kill him and he would have a list on a piece of paper with all our alt accounts and anyone who killed him he can ban them. Dude would get sooo mad it was hilarious he always went Zerg air too.

Such an awesome event, I'd love more. Speed upgraded 3/3/3 scouts could demolish carriers, I think. But DAs are definitely the way to go. :)

Fun game, love me some FFA! BTW Artosis have you ever tried (7)Broken Steppes (in the Broodwar folder) for a FFA? My old clan used to do Survival FFA tournaments basically every weekend, and that was always a favorite.

Can we get FME high level games as well? 1v1 and 2v2 or 3v3s would be nice, as dynamics are very interesting. FFA is awesome specially if they troll each other like in this game. Pretty hilarious stuff.

4 storms (or is it 5?) kill a Carrier, so with enough HTs left over I don't think you even need Dark Archons unless it's a truly massive 10+ carrier group. Dragon I think could have cleared those during the first engagement if he micro'd properly, but by the time he started to storm the Carriers most of his army was dead. Honestly not that I blame him, you never see Carriers in real PvP.

Has there ever been a showmatch or tournament with money on the line for any "non-standard" game type? That is, Greed, Slaughter, Sudden Death, Capture the Flag, or Team Capture the Flag? All the other modes (except UMS) are "standard" in the sense that you get a town hall and four workers at the spawn location and win by eliminating all opponents, but those ones are fundamentally different. Greed and Slaughter seem like boring game modes to me, but Capture the Flag might be a fun one.

Tough night for Gypsy honestly, went 0-3 then a rough time against Cross in the FFA. But a nice game overall, was really fun to watch Artosis! Thanks to you and Ursa and the players for this!
