One of my best episodes.

This is a great episode. Robert Walker, Jr., does a fantastic job as a moody teenager with superhuman powers. The ending, with Charlie pleading not to be taken away by the Thasians, is heartbreaking.

There is nothing wrong with this episode. I like it. It provides a legitimate moral message. I don’t think it is accurate to imply that teenage young men didn’t like this episode because it reminded them too much of their own social awkwardness. As you point out, the episode ranks lower simply because it is surrounded by great episodes.

Robert Walker walked away from acting a few years later. I’ve always wondered why. A former coworker of mine used to see Robert from time to time when he lived worked in Los Angeles. People didn’t bother celebrities like him there were a few others who left acting and just disappeared into the crowds of Los Angeles or went back to their home states. If you watch enough TV shows and films you too will notice actors who did the same thing.

Blimey. As a kid, I was so scared of this kid. He was very naughty and caused mayhem on the ship. 😂

its been a while since I've seen the first season, and yeah I think you make a great point, while not a brilliant episode, it depicts what it aims to quite well, and indeed to a fault for the audience of the show. Never thought of it that way. (also, I seem to have lost control of my old acc cira.goettig, so here's me under a new randomly generated name, this time apparently a finnish male one ^^)
