Technique irréprochable, joli vibrato, diction impeccable, c'est rare de comprendre les paroles d'une chanson en français par un(e) chanteur(euse) qui ne l'est pas... Il y a aussi une grande sensibilité derrière tout cela, ce qui est indispensable pour ce morceau particulier. Quelle magnifique interprétation ! Digne d'un Placido Domingo ! La relève est assurée, c'est certain.

Excusez-moi, Placido Domingo avec lequel j’ai chanté Tosca à l’opéra national de Paris Bastille est surnommé « Plamingo » (senza SI senza DO = sans le SI et sans le DO). Il a toujours eu des problèmes dans les notes aiguës. Il serait bien incapable de chanter le DO final. Dans Tosca, il craquait le Si bémol tous les soirs (vittoria… vittoria). Cependant, c’est un artiste qui a d’autres qualités. Chef d’orchestre, pianiste, acteur, et coureur de jupons à ses heures. 😮

perfect! best version! he has it all in there. it's not falsetto it has the richness of the chest while on the head and still keeps the soft feeling in every note! seems so effortless while it's so hard !

Maxim Tuboltsev ha, I had to google translate your comment... yes Kraus is superb notice he carries the legato line right through after the high notes, compared to Lawrence, and controls it beautifully, diminuendo.. Into the next phrase, Kraus also had a beautiful sweetness to his voice. I’m not knocking Lawrence in this performance, I actually like his voice, but Here he lacks what Kraus presents, both in control and dynamics. This Kraus performance is superb! Corelli is not to be compared with the other 3. Not because he's better or worse, but because he sings entirely different repertoire. Comparing leggeros to a spinto is like comparing a spinto to a lyric baritone.

wow damn. I just wanted to hear this song for kicks and this video popped up first. I was doing other things and started by singing along when the words came in and then instantly stopped and was like "WOAH" had to click back and watch/listen...awesome voice! Very impressed. Effortless, beautiful....doesn't have that kind of "tinny" sound that some tenors do...thumbs up. I feel like this is what I'm always hoping tenors will sound like, but they never do. He does
