I went into the trial just thinking it was all him… I live in the U.K. and although I did nt follow the case here, I thought she was abused. But OMG having watched her on the stand as a witness, she seems very toxic and abusive. The more I listen to her, the more I am glad it was televised and we can now all see the actual Amber

"I did start a physical fight" and then claims that when you're in an abusive dynamic, that you take the blame for things you shouldn't. Can we play the part just after that where she interrupts him, talks over him and starts yelling "you're a BABY! YOU ARE SUCH A BABY, JOHNNY!" Abuse victims don't taunt their perpetrators like that. As someone who fought for 17 years in court against my abuser it was crippling to be there to try and get all the information out. Panic attacks at even the sound of his voice. Trying to not be around them at all. Literally having many times when I was ushered into a safe room where I was enclosed myself and my lawyers would have to come tell me what was going on because I physically couldn’t be in the same room… when she said I’m not a victim was chilling to me because it really showed a true abusers personality! I am sure I’m not the only one who had flashbacks to their own abuse caused by what amber said or did on stand and in audio

She thought she would win because she’s never been held accountable. She is finally getting just a taste of what Johnny has been dealing with for the past 6 years!!!

SHE took JDs voice for 6 years. SHE wasn't telling people calling JD a wife beater to stop its unfair but is now saying when she found guilty in court. Its all about HER. She NEVER called herself a victim she testified under oath yet says she's a victim 3x in her interview.

If by “love him” she means creepily obsessed with him than yes.

Her response to hitting him in the ear is actually: “I love you, I’m sorry I hit you.” Dateline cut the “hit you” part out of the captions on the screen in that sentence and then all channels who have reported on this interview have missed that edit as well because they aren’t listening carefully.

People who haven't followed this case think she is so brave for having testified. Those of us who know the truth cannot believe she keeps telling the same lies!! We're confused, disappointed, and infuriated!

I’m not sure anyone has pointed this out, but when discussing the Jury, AH is solely focused on “Social Media”, because it was against her. AH never mentions the Mainstream Media, which the Jury could have also saw, that was very much Pro-AH, heck, they could’ve saw something talking about the UK trial verdict. AH isn’t worried about that because it could’ve influenced the Jury in a way that she wanted. AH likes to talk about “Fairness”, but like all narcissists, “what’s fair to AH” is all that matters.

This could literally be used as a tool to illustrate what gaslighting looks like. She warps reality until you are left scratching your head. The audio recordings between she and Johnny are replete with her tying complex knots out of the reality of the situation, while he- sounding increasingly exhausted- attempts to have a rational conversation with her. It’s no wonder he immersed himself in substances, he was likely white-knuckling lucidity after their very first conflict.

So immensely disappointed in Dateline and how much they edited. They released clips and then edited the full version removing more damaging information that she said. Hard to trust anything that comes from them now.

NBC should be embarrassed for cutting this interview to try to soften AH and hoping people that didn't watch the court case will believe her innocence. Especially since Savannah is a lawyer and didn't explain to the audience the freedom of speech is not slandering and harming another person. I hope the audience used common sense and can see through AH smoke screen.

On Spidey’s recent review of this interview, Christine Pykles pointed out that in UK trial, Heard as a witness pushed for and was granted special permission to sit in the court every day, hearing what evidence was given, before she had to speak. I haven’t read the transcript yet to verify this.

To be honest, the thing that infuriates me the most is she claiming that she has no voice anymore. She wants her voice back. They took her voice. I'm sorry, fucking what? Imagine being an actual victim, living with an abusive partner. You've been slowly isolated from all of your own friends and family. All the acquaintances you have left are your partners friends, which would 100% take their side were you to tell them about the abuse. And don't even think about going online and telling strangers about the abuse. No, you'll be beaten to death. Or driven to suicide. Either way, you'll pay for that act. You might not even see it as abuse anymore. You've been slowly suffocated of all your sense of self worth. You think you deserve it. It's your fault. It's not even abuse anymore. It's just... Life. THAT is not having a voice. And that is a reality for millions of men and women out there. Now, being able to speak openly and freely about it and being heard by millions, if not billions at this point, without any real danger, except legal, IS having a voice. Amber has an enormous platform. And to think that she, in her twisted world, thinks that she's the same as those truly without a voice is truly disgusting. And even if the abuse was true - even if Johnny 100% abused Amber - She still has a voice. She still has a very dedicated large group of dedicated fans. She still has reach. True victims could only dream of being heard and believed by at least one person.

AH’s next sentence after “yes, I did start a physical fight” came after her saying “I wasn’t punching you, I was hitting you” and right before she says “you are such a baby, you’re a baby Johnny, grow up”. I wish Savannah would have read that whole passage to her. Of AH would have just said there’s some mysterious context we’re missing. She’s a liar & a gaslighter.

Alyta, the reason why her response to the instigation question seems vague and confusing is because they cut out significant portions of that response and spliced what was left into a sem-coherent sentence. The teaser clips released in the days leading up to this “full” interview showed very different and potentially embarrassing answers to Savannah’s questions, especially related to this one in particular.

Every time she speaks she contradicts something she said before. That kind of behavior leads others to think she's not being honest. It's absolutely fascinating to watch an adult female do this. Plus, she is single highhandedly swinging the ME2Movement back towards reality. AND giving hope to hundred of thousands of men who have been ruined by lies. It's so much fun, and healing, to hear a female lawyer like you with your grounded legal conviction about this. Thank you, thank you thank you!

I studied narcissism for two years. There are different types and with each comes (some) differences in behavior. To me and many others watching the trial who have endured narcissistic abuse Amber's behavior from the beginning even before hearing Dr. Curry's diagnosis, of BPD and "Histrionic" BD (aka narcissism) we saw her malignant narcissism and recognized the narcissistic abuse that Johnny endured. It was very triggering, especially for survivors with C-PTSD stemming from the abuse. Amber's behavior is textbook which means if you look at a list of "Grandious Narcissistic" behavior then you will have 90% of your questions answered when asking why Amber reacts the way she does and responds to questions the way she does. She is so obvious she is constantly making a fool out of herself. She is an easy target for Social Media content. She is so predictable that Camille was able to easily bait her into anger with certain questions on the stand in order to make the real Amber shine through, showing who she really is. Amber will never be well or change, narcissists can't change and that's tragic because she was likely raised by an abusive narcissistic parent. Johnny must stay away from her giving her zero contact not taking the bait she's been dishing out since the trial ended. She would love a fight and cause even more chaos in his life so she can control the narrative and gain power over his reputation again by gaslighting the public and creating doubt. Keeping herself relevant and in the news. She has to have all the attention. She wanted him to give an interview after she did because that would give her material to tear apart in the media as I described. She wants to get him back in court so that she may get another chance to win. I wouldn't doubt if she's cheering on this Rocky guy promoting him in this recent lawsuit against JD. If Rocky wins then she will use similar accusations within it to defame Depp's reputation once more, giving validation to her lies. Anytime JD is in the news it will light a match, anytime she hears about an accomplishment it will cause her narcissistic ego to react because she just can't stand to see him happy or have his own power and freedom. Always remember that accusations from a narcissist are most always confessions. She talks about being angry about "men having all the power" men like Johnny. When in fact the real reason she is angry is that, she wants to have all the power, especially power over Johnny. He rejected her so now all she has is her minion Eve who soon she will burn as well and look for new supply.

The notes were excluded because they are hearsay. The therapist could have testified. Depp did not object. But Bonnie, the therapist, did not testify. Why? Heard chose not to call her. Hypothesis: the notes are fake, and Bonnie would have said so.

This is so wild to me because I can't even exaggerate a funny story for bigger laughs out of fear that I would be exposed as a liar. It just...never occurs to me that other people don't get that same nauseated feeling when being dishonest

The whole world realises how it feels to deal with a narcisist now. It makes you doubt yourself, its furiating and tiring. If you have to deal with this on your own it makes you crazy and insecure. But now she has to deal with the world. And the world looks right through it.

Anyone that's been in a relationship with a borderline/narcissistic personality understands the frustration of being with them...irrational.. no regret or remorse...Dr. Curry explains Amber perfectly. (Not all borderlines are to the extreme as Amber)

If she really lost her voice she wouldn’t have been able to do the interview. You don’t know or understand what it really means to not have a voice AH. Not to mention that defamation had to be found WITH MALICE, and that was what was found. As for his exes, they came and gave sworn testimonies that he was never abusive. AH AND JD had the same private entrance and the only thing there was a gate. No media or “fans” were allowed beyond the gates or to block the gates. MSM would have made a big deal if there were horrible signs and shouts being made against AH and they didn’t say anything through out the trial. Also there are all kinds of witnesses that were there and can tell you that you were wrong. Not everyone in the gallery were fans. You even had fans of your own at one point. There were lawyers who were simply interested in the trial as that is there job, trials, and to see the lawyers. No one was allowed to talk in the gallery nor could they wear costumes or shirts that indicated who’s side they were on. Those who watched the trial could see this. The public saw her lying and not admitting to any faults throughout the whole trial. The UK trail was different in so many ways: a) AH wasn’t a party but a witness meaning she didn’t win anything as it wasn’t her case. b) because she was only a witness here level of evidence wasn’t as high. c) the legality is different as it is a different country. d) most of his evidence was denied. There was no negotiation; that was AH verbally assaulting him and admitting to her doing the physical abuse. She brought in lots of the audio herself and the clips were all longer than 30 seconds. Her lawyers even had the option to bring in longer clips yet they chose not too. She didn’t argue on the stand for anything but DV and SA, so don’t try to twist it or add more now. AH had no evidence to back up her story, and each story got more elaborate each time she told it as well as adding more events. Most, if not all, of her so called abuse would have demanded medical attention as well as days of not weeks of healing. AH had so many other inconsistencies in her stories and so called evidence. Stop with your twisting of the story about the donation you never made AH. A donation is not the same as a mortgage by any stretch of the imagination. Donation means give them the money then and there, especially when you said “I donated the money”. A mortgage is having a bank pay for the house in full and then you pay the bank back in the form of a loan and if you don’t pay it back you can get into trouble such as loosing the house. No one told her to make the donation. No one told her to announce it publicly that not only did she ALREADY donate the money but that she did it because she wanted nothing in the divorce. AH chose to do both and got caught in doing none of it. That’s all on her. And yes, a large part of a defamation case is all about a person’s credibility so don’t play dumb and act like credibility had nothing to do with it. If it wasn’t a publicity stunt then why wait so long after the divorce was finalized and have the timing of so close to her first major movie role as a superhero to publish it? That seems fishy. Yes AH, since you said you had pictures then they needed to match with the abuse you described. And not only did they not match the description, but for some events you had the same photos to represent two different dates. She never looked intimidated or scared to talk her supposed SA. AH never had medical records for any of them either and, again, based on her description of those events there would have to be medical records as the the injuries would have been too severe. And it would have taken weeks to recover from. Just because you say something happens doesn’t mean it happens. Her demeanor and attitude and even the words coming out of her mouth screamed being vindictive. How is AH allowed to give Dateline these so called therapist notes when her current court case hasn’t been closed out and she is appealing it? Therapy notes are more consider medical notes. Also, those so-called notes seem to be in the same handwriting as her handwriting in her’s and JD’s love notebook they shared. Not to mention therapy notes are not long, drawn out words and sentences but rather short, abbreviated notes that are quickly written because they are writing as the patient speaks. They also MUST include dates and times on their notes for their records. AH’s so called notes had none. It is also interesting how this therapist had years of hearing her story yet AH never said her therapist encouraged her to seek help or report it or helped her make a plan. AH had her therapist on her witness list but her team never brought her in. Dr. Hughes also referred to that therapist’s notes during her testify. Was there a trial by law held in the courtroom? Yes. Was there a trial by the public? Yes. Did the trial by public influence the trial in the courtroom? NO. And there is no evidence to state otherwise. Did the trial in the courtroom influence the trial by public? Yes. We were able to watch the trial from beginning to end and evaluate the witnesses and evidence on our own and make our own conclusion. Then when the public found you in the wrong we the people shared our opinion of you online just as our freedom of speech allows us to do. JD never “promised” any amount of humiliation according the the texts we saw, but simply said it would happen implying it would be because the truth would come out. If you’re going to quote sometime then quote it correctly. She had most of the world on her side for six years simply because she said (with no other evidence) she was the victim and then during the trial it came out she had been lying to us the whole time. Many people had turned their back on JD even though they were fans because of your accusations, they tried to “have your back”. Yes, the world is allowed to feel upset, angry, and hurt for being duped and lied to by you Ms. Heard for so long. And I do believe we the people would look you in the eye/face and tell you what we feel and think of you. Consequences of your actions, dear AH, isn’t always pleasant. AH, you do care what people think of you or you wouldn’t be doing the interview. You don’t want to keep your private life private as you leaked information, wrote an Op-Ed, and are doing interviews sharing details of your private life. Yes, I would tell you that your are being treated fair as this is exactly what you put JD through for six years. Are the extremists taking it too far, maybe; but it’s not the majority. Being called names is nothing. Being called out on your lies is nothing. AH, you have no evidence that any juror member did anything they weren’t supposed to do. Not everyone is attached to SM like AH seems to be. AH doesn’t even know if they have any or which SM accounts. Do not insult these people who had to give up almost two months of their lives to listen to your trial. AH didn’t take responsibility for anything. She tried to come off as perfect and perfect doesn’t exist. So yes, that attitude will impact how people see you AH. And that viewpoint point won’t be good. Also, there were at least 20 witnesses that weren’t on any one’s pay roll/family/friend list. Offended that AH considers “randos” or “average” people as beneath her. There is nothing about her that makes her better than anyone else! AH thinks so highly of herself that she assumes she has power over other DV cases. AH, you have no power over other cases or victims. Your case was all about you and JD (not to mention it was defamation case only) and EVERY CASE is different and evaluated as such! AH does not speak for anyone but herself. AH, you say you want to focus on being a mom and I’m sure you want to protect her (and that is admirable), yet you weren’t too concerned how two teenagers were going to have to grow up dealing with the mud you dragged their father in for the last six years while silencing his voice at the same time. Throughout the interview she kept changing the tense of her stories, rarely referred to herself as a victim but says victims react to or do things in third person (which implies she isn’t one) and even slips and says JD would step away (implying yet again that he is the victim). AH is even looking all over the place at times. She also would flip between first and third person (third person implies the person talking wasn’t there doing what was being talked about but simply an observer) and she flipped between present and past tense (implies lying because you cannot keep the story straight). AH needs real help, not just a therapist or psychiatrist who will simply listen to and placate her. It seems that JD has already been seeking help for his issues and is actually getting better. This was a trial between two people NOT social movements contrary to what AH and her team want to believe. This trial isn’t women v men. This also isn’t about taking the right to speak away from anyone but about giving voice to someone who had been silenced. This trial is about finding the truth. In a small way it was about an abuser and a victim. It was about how the stereotypes of who an abuser and victim is is not always right. Abuse doesn’t know gender. Abuse doesn’t know stereotypes. If people really want to make this ONE CASE about a movement (which it is not), then JD helped the movement as well as broadened it by showing how a (male) victim can come in with the odds stacked against them, stick to and tell the truth, and then be heard and come out the victor.

Social media supported her initially. I supported her initially. As the facts came out and it showed she was lying it made me furious because Im a survivor of domestic abuse and I hate when people lie about it because it make it so hard for true survivors to come out and tell their story.

Itś disappointing to see that based on this interview she didn´t learn anything from the case. Would think that having all that dirty laundry out there like that for 6 weeks to face would make a person go "Whoa, I really need to have look at myself, this is not good!" But she seems to have an opposite reaction, she is doubling down. 😞

American judicial system for lawsuits is HORRIBLE . The jury based the entire 15 million dollar payout on “she made be feel awkward when she kept looking at us” I mean shouldn’t it be beyond a reasonable doubt when 15 million dollars is on the line ? How do we know Johnny didn’t bottle Amber . None of us were there in the hotel room that night

I started out expecting to find in her favour ( I am a vitim of SA/SV and DV) The words she is spinning in this interview do not make sense and are a contradiction to the facts which came out in the trial. In my experience, in dealing with the justice system, was being told I'm a liar, and having to talk about what happened to many strangers was very traumatic. But I could never consider that to be a worse experience than the actual ass*ult. He plead guilty the day before trial to receive lesser charges. That sucked. Arguably the worst part of my experience with the justice system was during a recent hearing (since he broke multiple terms of probation) where he threw a pity party for himself because it is difficult to find work or a place to live as a registered s*x offender. Still doesn't even touch the trauma of the actual ass*ult.

If she doesn't consider paid witnesses, or experts, or friends or family valid, yet also doesn't consider NON paid everyday "Randos" valid, then who EXACTLY WOULD she consider valid and believelable? She literally excluded all people. So, essentially there is no one that could, or should be believed on JD's side. Also on the stand she said the headline wasn't about Johnny, it was about something that happened to her after Johnny. Why aren't we talking about that? Why isn't she attacking that person who assaulted her.. Since the headline isn't about Johnny's "SA" Does Amber seem like a woman who would just let that go? No, because another person doesn't exist. She is still attacking Johnny. It's so sad and disturbing.

When she started the accusations media were in her side, defending her and destroying JD, he lose jobs, he stayed quiet. At UK audios released and people start changing their minds. Doctors and therapists are MANDATED reporters. If she disclosed the abuse and because Depp had children underage the therapist would have had to report the abuse to proper channels

For people who haven’t been through domestic violence and violent essay feel that they can’t really say they could agree or disagree with Amber saying that she’s still loves Johnny But I have been through both of those for A year and a half and that was 28 years ago. To this day I hate my ex and what he did to me and our son. And there’s no way I would ever say I love him. That is not reality and everyone who’s been in DV and essay absolutely would not still be in love with their abuser! That’s just bullshit!!!

NBC proved why we don't trust MSM, the cutting of things they aired in teasers earlier in the week that make what was said look in a better light. In theory both sides are treated the same in court. It appears to me that occured in this trial the same amount of time allowed by both and neither side was allowed to bring everything they wanted in. If AH's team had stopped focusing so much on JD's drug use they would have had more time to work with.

I feel your exasperation Aleta. You're expecting someone who has no morality who is used to manipulating people by lying and getting away with it. This interview is her putting out to the public who didn't watch the trial her version of the truth without all that pesky evidence. Many have said the therapist notes are in Amber's writing. Also a therapist can't testify whether what Amber told her is true. Rob Lumber Law clarified this topic really well.

I've worked in the medical field and the therapist would have had those notes typed up and put them in a file not a binder. They would have also written a care plan.

I think real honesty needs to come first. Honesty with herself, not with others. At least today, I don't believe she is capable of honesty.

Also adding that in the weeks of JD's testimony, the panel for this channel were concerned it made HIM look bad. As soon as she started giving her testimony, that opinion shifted. Then followed by weak "evidence" from her side. It wasn't Johnny's 3 and a half weeks of testimony that turned everyone against her and supposedly brainwashed the jury... It was her own BS that she spewed. I really hope she gets the help she needs and sees that one day. And I pray she doesn't poison her daughter's mind with these lies

One thought I had is that it would seem to me a ton of Johnny fans outside the courthouse would give the jury the impression his career was not so harmed. So would this not potentially harm his case more than hers?

There is now a campaign targeted at KZfaq channels that encourage discussion about the Depp/Heard trial. It was really obvious when a psychology channel is targeted. One doctor consistently urged the viewers to be fair and see both sides, but most time had obvious compassion for Heard which we understood as he treats people with BPD and other similar disorders. The psychologist was more willing to concede that Heard exhibited traits of BPD once he got through Heard’s testimony, however stated AH could still have been abused by Depp to the irritation of some of his followers. Suddenly, there are commenters on the videos speaking about DARVO and “stonewalling”, mass manipulation of the public etc. Also blatant attempts to twist the interpretation of the audio snippets, even contradicting Heard’s own explanations on the stand. Instead of denying Heard may have abused Depp, him seeking to leave a physical fight is now abuse on Heard (twisted interpretation of “stonewalling”in relationships) The comments have nothing to do with psychology and introduced an atmosphere I’ve only ever seen on Twitter. If this is all a PR campaign, this is disturbing. People watched the trial and came to their conclusions, so did the jury. So why do I feel as if my mind is being bombarded daily to make me feel I am stupid and need someone else to help me form my opinions? How is this image rehabilitation for AH? Couldn’t a softer approach to invoke empathy about psychological disorders or discussions about consequences of toxic relationship on the mental state further their cause in a better way?

As someone who took the stand at 16 against my own father for SA, I can say with certainty that as terrifying and grueling as that was, it was NOT more terrifying than the actual ordeal. Can't speak for everyone, of course. Every person is different, but her behavior has never aligned with her narrative to me. I couldn't eat or sleep during the trial. I was weak and pale for days, even after it was over. I was heartbroken, and still am sixteen years later. It's a different kind of grief, and I don't see that in AH.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that those that could be deceived by what she is saying in this interview, are those who did not WATCH her full testimony and cross and all of the trial! She is expert at deception but watching the full trial it is easy to see her ridiculous acting as a 'survivor' completely cringe and UNcredible! It angers me too Alyte!!

This interview should be mandatory case study for Psych Master's and PhD students. The level of lies, sub-lies, deflecting and avoidance of responsibility is astonishing. The more you listen to it, the more one is baffled. Her story is a Russian Dolls caliber. Well, can't say she's not talented in mental torture, that's for sure. She will drive some1 to jump off a bridge if not rational. Whew
