Rough visuals and lots of slowdown make this a really sloppy, lacklustre experience vs the PS1 port of RayStorm (same game). Due to price and rarity, could never recommend this > PS1 version tbh. If, however, you have the incurable Sega (Saturn) bias and, due to above medical condition, 'have' to buy the Saturn version then... so be it. But, ultimately, this is one for hard-core collectors only imo. You're better off with Layer Section/Galactic Attack overall...

I mostly agree. The original Layer Section/Galactic Attack is a better game FOR SURE, but I never played this game on the PS1. This is just like when I review In the Hunt and gave it a posiitve review before I got to play it on PC and it was SO MUCH better than the Saturn version, that I kind of regret giving it such praise. Although I did mention it does suffer from slowdown in the review. I never thought the graphics were bad/sloppy in LS2. My capture really doesn't help things. I tried improve presentation of the capture by shrinking the display size and upscaling the graphics. While the presentation of my capture does look better (I think), the actual capture is still not great.

I have the Raystorm/Raycrisis ps1 Japanese double set. I like them but Galactic Attack (I cant remember the Japanese name🤫) beats them both. Shoulda stayed 2D imo. Fuck you 90s 3D craze!
