In this video I show how I make my layered wet cyanotypes in a step by step process and how I finish them with a waxing which will give you a work art of worth framing

I've never tried this technique before, but after seeing your work and a handful of other photographers' work who are into cyanotype, I really want to give it a go! As a summer project at least. I love the look of the images, and the fact that each print is an original, not mass produced from an inkjet printer! Thanks again, we'll see how it goes! 😊

Did my first cyanotypes today. Out of all the videos I have watched yours are my favorite. I used 100% cotton watercolor paper and ferns that grow in my woods. I aloud the medium to dry on the paper the night before. So happy with the results. Thank you for making these videos and giving such clear instructions.

I love the layering. It adds greatly to the composition. I tried adding glass globs to hopefully achieve prismatic effects, but only donut holes appeared. Still I will continue experimenting.

I love the final rendering with the little bubble silhouettes and I would like to ask you 2 questions: how did you prepare the soap mixture that you put on paper at the beginning of the video ? After you have put the mixture on the sheet, do you let it dry by itself with the bubbles? Thank you!

How long have you been waxing your cyanotypes. Have you noticed any fading? If so how long do they stay fresh? Do they revive when place in the dark? Great video for showing a method of wet cyanotypes and layering.
