WooW! Ben & family have done it again! I work at a large homeless shelter in Dallas, Tx & your family draws about 250 people every week to see your videos. Such inspiration for them all. They make snacks & sit quietly waiting for the video. Your family has been voted Number 1 American Family here in Dallas! You just can't imagine how much your videos impact our Residents. From the gardening, cooking, home projects to love & compassion each family member has for the others. Just awesome what you & your beautiful Meg have done! Your family is Royalty in Dallas! lol, Lots of Love!

My dad had one just like that he poured the sidewalks for our yard and the next door neighbors on both sides. That how people did back then the neighborhood bought the cement and dad made the forms then they all worked together to get the job done.i only had sisters but we were. Out there helping . I wish people were like that now.

That's what Grandpa & I did. We built what we needed. Some cousins & I helped Grandpa build our 2 1/2 car garage. We attached it on the kitchen side of the house, and added a new back door. Closed the old doorway off. But put a window in its place. Made the old tiny back porch building into a horse tackroom & a freezer room for our extra freezers. Room for 3 saddles, brides & blankets on one wall. On the other wall, we put the chicken and pork freezers. Then inside the new garage we moved our old fridge to the front wall and bought a new fridge for in the house. We built shelves for "vehicle supplies" grease gun, oil, antifreeze, window cleaners, ect. This was in 1969.

There’s nothing more fulfilling to a kid than hearing from their parents that they are proud of them. If you’re a parent, take a moment and think of something your kids did right. Then go ahead and tell them you are proud of them for that. A hug will even take this even further. Godspeed.

A huge step forward! Best shot of the video, in the beginning Bug popping out of a hole. Hint: Since you have time, start looking for roofing shingles, broken bags, left overs but still good product. We used this to cover the ground under our deck. No critters digging, snakes don't like to slither across it, water proof. With the slope of the land, under penning could have a door or two for under the floor storage on a clean base. Your kids are learning valuable skills that they will carry through life. Oh, for the shingles, check Lowes, Home Depot, roofing companies. They often have broken bags, partial bags, (all at a good discount) a few here and there any before you know it you have enough.

Tough feet on your son. Places that foot squarely on top of the shovel and shoves it in the ground like it's nothing! Been reading about going barefoot. It's good for grounding. Meaning the ground gives nutrients to the body that shoes block. Sounds crazy but science exists that support the notion. Cute moment Buggy and dad are hand printing the concrete. Memories being made for a lifetime here.

In my young years, my dad and my brothers did a lot of construction around the place - with concrete work needed sometimes. I was allowed to help mix and such - it was a fabulous learning experience. My dad always included us as much as possible - with the utmost patience one could ever imagine . considering the motley crew he had. Cement and block work was a major part of my upbringing. Not being a total "girly girl" - I loved it, and am so thankful to have had that family work we did. We reveled in the measuring, science and math. My dad raised us on Popular Mechanics, Popular Science and National Geographic. Best. Upbringing. Ever. Such a delight to see it continue on in your generations. You guys so rock.

That was cool! You guys really did a great job. Each of you should sign a square. I had to smile when you said that you were “stoked”. When I was in my early twenties, I lived in Laguna Beach, CA. Every surfer was always “stoked” about something. Since moving to Tennessee and Kentucky in 1998, I never hear anyone say “stoked “! So it was fun to hear the old lingo.😊 I am still grinning!

You amaze me! And I’m so proud of you and Meg! As an older lady... it makes my heart swell seeing you doing what my family did years ago! I’ve watched for years... the teaching and the inspiration you have shared... I can only pray other young couples will join you in making this a lifestyle too. “Pass it on” & Keep on keeping on” ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ and soon to be ❤

I really enjoyed seeing y'all get your footings done. What an awesome job you and your boys did. Blessed my heart how you worked together. A lot of youth could take a lesson from your sons. And I know you and Meg have raised your children the way that children should be raised. Looking so forward to watching all your progress on your home addition. And I'm an old woman that enjoys seeing this precious family. I pray that each of you know the Lord as your Saviour. And that he blesses you mightily.
