Yes its a fantastic amp - let's the guitar breath... Any guitar a play through it really works great ,hope you get as much fun out of it as I do.

Its the higher headroom version - perfect for me ,, The Lazy J20H. I like it not to compress too early - and this is perfect due to the higher headroom . I use the reverb and built in VAC (reduces the wattage) as I need .. both I find really very useful . The amp is just perfect for small gigs for me . The beauty of this amp is the tone - it works great with any guitar I've tried

I use a LazyJ Cruiser pedal .. I switch on when I need to get a little more overdrive without effecting the tone (The Lazy j amp has a reverb I also used). cheers

Great playing and tone! Is this the regular lazyj20 or the higher headroom j20h version?

It has a good clear full tone so I guess you could say it is similar , but of course it has the tweed sound and depending where you set the volume control will determine how much break up you get (dependant on the guitar pickups of course). best you try one out ..Jesse may be able to accommodate , I did that the the J20H was best for me. cheers

Good to know! I'm saving up for a Lazy J20 and I don't know which version to get. Getting the J20H version with the VAC seems like a smart move. I have another question if you wouldn't mind answering. In a music radar forum about the Lazy J, a guy says that the J20H high headroom version "has a more hint of blackface" in the amp. Do you think thats true?
